Simple yet well appointed beach house, within walking distance to the beach with elevated views to the Tasmanian mainland. Dennes Point is at the northern end of Bruny Island offering peace and quiet away from the main tourist routes further south, just twenty five minutes from the ferry terminal. The house orientates to the west offering stunning sunsets on the deck and is a short walk to the waters edge.About pets:Pets allowed: limit 1 total.Please keep pets off couches, beds and blankets.About checkOut:Check out before 10:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About checkIn:Check in after 2:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About events:No events allowed.

Peaceful retreat
This property is in a quiet area and it was perfect to relax and get away for a few days. Cosy with everything you need. The verandah has fabulous ocean views and a cool breeze which was a great place to chill. Kitchen is well stocked and the bed is soft and comfy. Lounge is quite low so may not be comfortable for older folks or those with mobility issues. We appreciated the thoughtful decor including all the books, national geographics and board games.

Calming
Beautiful calming house in a lovely quite location. It had everything we needed. The hosts communicated well and were easy to get hold of if we needed to.
We would stay again in the future.

Less than expected
While clean, there is no hot tub - this was the reason we picked the property to rent - and chopping firewood in the rain wasn't our idea of a great way to begin our stay. The key is in a precarious position, it's very easy to drop both key and lock-box front down a steep slope so be careful.
There is no storage for clothes except a small hanging rack, Netflix is there but the connection requires a phone call with the owner to initiate it, and we needed to have separate water for drinking. The place looks great, wonderful to photograph, but the furniture isn't not comfortable to sit or sleep on. We loved visiting the island, but wouldn't stay here again.

Wildlife galore.
We had kangaroos hopping by, and a big beautiful echidna come visiting who stayed around for hours at a time, heaps of birds, gorgeous sunsets great place to base our 2 day stay.

Everything you could want.
We loved our stay here . The house was cozy and clean with the most comfortable beds . The view of the water was lovely and the wood fire a treat . The house had all the comforts of home . The fancy coffee machine was amazing and we even mastered it thanks to the utube instructions . . Thankyou Silke and Nick for sharing your home with us .

Island Idyll
Smart contemporary house in remote Bruny Island location with excellent water views and an effective and easy to enjoy wood heater.
Wonderful bird life with wallabies regularly on the property.
