Great service from the moment we arrived – with advice on the area and things to do, suggestions for where to eat and the host, Phil, then making a dinner booking for us. The room was very comfortable and the views from the deck are great. They include breakfast – we just went with the continental option – cereal, juice, toast and fruit - but if you wish they will provide you with bacon, sausage, eggs to cook on the BBQ. The only negative I would mention is that we were woken rather early one morning when another couple cooked their breakfast very early on the BBQ just outside our room (the yellow room).

Phil was a great host. He offered and helped me change the place for the 4WD tour company to pick me up to On the Deck@Shark Bay instead of discovery center which I had booked, so I didn’t need to drive to discovery center in the morning and leave the car there for more than 8 hours. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed. And I did enjoy amazing views from the deck

On the Deck @ Shark Bay provides splendid accommodation! We enjoyed three nights in the 'blue room' which was spacious, comfortable, immaculate and very peaceful with a private balcony. Phil and Kerrie are wonderful hosts - so welcoming and kind. Phil was very helpful assisting us with our scheduled trips out and with restaurant recommendations - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast provisions were extensive and very generous. We really appreciated the routine of ordering provisions the day before and being able to prepare them in our own time - there is a full outdoor kitchen in which to do so. Keen walkers we found the location of the property perfect for a short walk into town in the evenings - we dined two nights at The Old Pearler (not to be missed it's great!). Roos regularly come down in the evening for snacks at sunset - just magical. We loved the sense of community in Shark Bay - everyone was so lovely and friendly. All in all a wonderful trip - a big thank you to Phil and Kerrie for making it so.

This was by far the most amazing place we have stayed on our whole trip around Australia! The location is absolutely stunning and Phil & Kerrie were so welcoming and friendly, we didn’t want to leave! Everything was perfect, can’t recommend highly enough!!

Die Gastgeber sind unbeschreiblich nett und aufmerksam. Das Guesthaus hat nur 3 Zimmer, daher ist es sehr ruhig und man fühlt sich privilegiert, dort sein zu dürfen. Die Zimmer haben alle einen eigenen Charakter und jedes ist individuell. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut. Abends kommen Kängurus zu Besuch um sich füttern zu lassen. Der Blick auf das Meer und die tollen Sonnenuntergänge war abends immer unser Highlight. Wir können das Guesthaus nur jedem empfehlen und würden gerne wiederkommen, wenn Australien nur nicht so weit weg wäre. Danke liebe Kerrie und lieber Phil, unsere Tage bei Euch werden wir in bester Erinnerung behalten.

We loved our three day stay at On the Deck in Shark Bay. Our group of three couples stayed in May 2023 and were impressed with the well appointed rooms, location, views, local wildlife and communal cooking area. Phil and Kerry are fantastic hosts and we enjoyed their company for sundowners on the deck, amazing sunsets with views over Francis Peron National Park. Nothing was too much trouble and we highly recommend.
