The illuminated Salt Hill is breathtaking at night, but the hotel's services fell short of expectations. Upon check-in, our room lacked some essentials, and the view was unfortunately marred by an overgrown green roof with weeds. We even saw a neighboring room with a full-grown pine tree outside the window — at least that was more attractive than the dry weeds! There were no mosquito screens on the windows, which was frustrating, especially during a stink bug infestation. When we requested cleaning, only the towels were replaced, but there was no sign of actual cleaning in the room. Downstairs, the spa didn’t offer even a small locker for guests, even upon request, which made it inconvenient to keep going up from the spa to our room on the fifth floor.To make matters worse, none of the clocks were synchronized, with time differences of up to 15 minutes between them — and they hadn’t even been updated for daylight savings. This caused a lot of unnecessary confusion and frustration. The pool area supervisors also didn’t address children jumping into a non-jumping pool, which was disruptive. The room’s furnishings were dated and somewhat low-cost, like relics from the late socialist era. Everything had a layer of dust, especially ornate areas like the table legs, which seemed neglected. The glass doors on the bathroom and toilet offered zero privacy and allowed every sound through. Dinner was overly salty, while breakfast lacked seasoning. Both the coffee machines and the juice dispenser were never in working order at the same time during breakfast.

Amennyiben jól tudom mostanában volt felújítva a hotel, ehhez képest a liftek nem működtek, a közös területek gyatrán kivitelezettek voltak. A szobában a tisztaság hagyott kívánni valót maga után, ahogyan a képeken is látszik. A reggeli és a vacsora egy 3 csillagos hotel szintjét hozta. Egyedüli pozitívum a nagyon sok féle medence, amelyek kellemes hőmérsékletűek. All in all, massive disappointment, especially considering the prices. As far as I know the hotel was recently refurbished, yet the elevators didn't work, common areas were poorly done. The room wasn't the cleanest as you can see in the pictures. The food was on the level of an average 3 star hotel. Only positive was the high number and quality of pools, which all had nice temperatures.

Overall the hotel looks very nice and the food is amazing. Rooms and the restaurant area are clean, comfortable. Beside all the above we were also dissatisfied: In the spa area in gentlemen toilets there was a very strong urine smell, which was disgusting. Also due to some ventilation problems there was a constant deep fryer/Schnitzel smell in our hotel room during dinner time. I also dislike the idea of charging extra for sauna usage, it should be included in the package price

The hotel itself is fine but the overall hygiene in the pool and changing room area is more than terrible. People walk in outdoor shoes in the changing rooms, the floor is dirty with dust, hair and nobody cleans it. The showers and toilets are smelly, dirty, it definitely needs celaning staff, which is missing. The pools are fine, especially outdoors. The water aerobic is too noisy, exceeding acceptance levels, it seems to be totally unnecessary and the music is too stupid. It ruins the stay.

Had fantastic time in this resort in November. We had a company event where almost 150+ people had gathered together here for a few days and we all had a blast! Great location, perfect scenery from the hotel, and excellent SPA, great food (Hungarian!) and very helpful and patient staff.

Expensive and disappointing. Emailed the day before arrival to say we would be arriving late and would there be any food options available. No reply. Arrived at 9.30pm to be told at reception that the restaurant was closed. We discovered at 10.07pm that room service was available but closed at 10pm. No mention of room service at reception. Thanks guys. On the only upside the breakfast and evening buffet was plentiful, with a good selection and pretty tasty. The rest was a huge disappointment. The design and decor was drab and very dated. For some reason heavy net curtains were drawn in the restaurant blocking out an amazing view. Why? It made this room dark and claustrophobic. In the spar half of the available space was given over to kids (fair enough). In the "adults section" lots of signs saying no children under 12yrs yet there were millions of very young children splashing around making it really annoying. No lifeguards around to enforce the signage. Parking is a farce. Guests have to pay so the whole area is littered with cars as parking outside the hotel is free! I had heard that the locals hate the hotel. It is not difficult to see why. Is it a huge slab of a building carved out of a natural hillside and forest with seemingly no desire to blend in to the natural beauty of the place. As for the salthill, which signs proudly announce can only be found in two other places on earth, well it's stuffed up a corner and dominated by the hotel. Currently sitting in a 45min queue waiting to check out. Bloody farce. Won't be coming back.
