Cannot recommend it at all. Back in its day, this was THE place to stay in Decatur. I understand it recently changed ownership, so let's hope they resolve the issues. For starters, as I checked in, the two ladies behind the Front desk were complaining about working there to themselves. I could hear their whole conversation. The side door closest to the elevators is now locked. This means that once you check in, you must walk down a long corridor to reach the elevators. Your car cannot be driven around to the side door since you can't get in to save your legs. They serve breakfast. On the first day, they actually made fresh omelets or scrambled eggs. After that, they just had that huge pan of scrambled eggs, which were dry and tough. Forget the food in the bar, which opens at 5:00 pm and closes at 9:00 pm. Best to drive a mile or so to get better food. They won't give you service unless you ask for it, so hang your towels up to dry because they don't provide fresh ones. Overall, unless the new owners address the issues and improve service and food quality, best to stay out at Forsyth, newer hotels, better food options, and the price is the same or better.

There were crumbs on the carpet and we killed 4 ants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were dated, but okay. The TV was very small. I would NOT stay again due to the bugs. We canceled our reservation here for next month and will be staying else where.

Overnight w/ family Pros - hotel was clean and quiet, staff was friendly, room was clean, room bathroom was good size, indoor pool bigger than expected! Cons - hot tub was out of order, shower water pressure was very weak and the waffle station is only on weekends; however, the “weekday” breakfast did have many choices!

The property looked abandoned, the automatic doors didn’t work, my room was filthy and smelled like cigarette smoke and our keys stopped working 3 times in less that 24hr period. The staff was okay but didn’t really speak to you. I would not recommend this hotel and we will definitely be staying somewhere else next year for the wrestling tournament

Good stay The conference center was beautiful but the hotel rooms could use a little TLC. Especially the bathrooms. Staff was excellent! Breakfast was really good and the on-site restaurant was good.

This was such a great place to take our two autistic teens. They found the whole enchanting, as did we. Especially the decorations.
