Don't let the name Days Inn make you think this place is lower quality, but the opposite. The staff and management take pride in making sure things are kept up and the guests have an enjoyable visit. Stayed for three nights in Room 606, 2 Beds Oceanfront Efficiency. Perfect views from the balcony to watch the sun rise and enjoy watching the waves crash below on the beach. Saw no bugs of any kind and the room was spotless. Had an issue with the sliding door being hard to open, but being subject to salty ocean air, things happen. I mentioned to the manager at the front desk and explained that they might want to get someone up there at some point to take a look at it, wasn't expecting it to be resolved in less than 5 minutes. He immediately called maintenance and they were up to my room within 30 seconds after I got back up to my room and were there to fix it. 15 minutes later, door sliding easy like it was new. Used the parking garage below the hotel, while not overly big, was perfect for keeping car out of the sun all day, even a vacuum to sweep out your car if you wanted to. Hot tub was still being constructed from what I had heard had been taken out during a hurricane. Pool was plenty big and the there were plenty other ways to have fun and relax. Definitely will return in the future and highly recommended. Even got points from Wyndham Rewards for a future stay.

We booked this hotel less than 24 hours to arriving and was pleasantly surprised. I saw the price and the location and was a bit wary about it. From the moment we walked in the customer service was amazing. It is not a fancy place in any way. But it is exactly what we were looking for. Relaxation, not crowded, on the beach, and with an ocean view. The room was clean, comfortable, and plenty of room. You can tell this place has been there awhile, and some of the decor is dated. The floors have been remodeled to hard wood which makes it very nice with all the sand and salt that travels in the room. The continental breakfast is nothing special, which we were told at check in. The tiki bar by the pool is not operational but made for a nice space to socialize with other guests and get some shade. The staff recommended some amazing places to have a nice dinner. It was actually some of the best food we had ate in such a long time. Coming from a vacation destination (Savannah, GA) to another vacation destination we were not sure we would get the relaxation and recharging we needed. We were amazed at how there was not a huge crowd in the middle of July on a weekend at that. So, if you just need a getaway, or a trip to the beach where you can walk right out to the sand and within a low budget, this is the place to go. Return guests also get a discount.

We want to thank you Delta Daytona for being PET FREE! (Getting harder each day to find a hotel where I don't have to worry about sitting or sleeping where dirty dog bottoms had lain). This is a well managed hotel. VERY CLEAN rooms. Stayed in room 807 with a GREAT VIEW. Balconies have 2 chairs + small table. Beds were comfortable because they were NOT rock hard. Parking was easy; this hotel has use of a lot across the street (in an empty ***** plaza) for overflow parking. Good continental breakfast! My hungry husband was very happy with the delicious oatmeal (blueberries & brown sugar on top) + blueberry muffin, juice, coffee. Oatmeal was not watery or runny but firm and delicious. Continental breakfast is complimentary for ambassador, titanium and platinum members, I believe.

This property is old and not very well maintained by the owner. We had quite a few problems during our week stay but the maintenance staff (especially Akeem) was so conscientious, responded quickly, and helped with every issue. The Housekeeping staff was also very good. Issues: 1) Check-in is 4 p.m. but we couldn't get in the room until 4:45 p.m. after being in the lobby since 3. Immediately discovered a non-working TV but Akeem from Maintenance immediately brought us a new one with a better remote. The security lock was also broken and the daytime Maintenance crew fixed it immediately. 2) There is very limited parking for the South Bldg on the weekends. 3) Everything in the room was covered with a layer of moisture from the humidity. We requested and received a dehumidifier which we used for the week; it required emptying 2X per 24hrs. 4) The outside property is just a mess: no grass, just weeds and dirty sand, no landscaping, and piles of sand in front of the Tiki Hut (which is just a sad story itself). 5) Hallways, elevator, building exterior, breakfast room, etc. were in serious need of cleaning and upgrade. 6) There were a few tiny roaches in the bathroom 6 of the 7 nights we were there, even after being sprayed. 7) There are no tables with umbrellas in the enclosed pool area. Positives: The room was spacious and looked renewed with nice flooring (no update to the bathroom). The two queen beds were very comfy and clean. Housekeeping was very pleasant and accommodating with changing out towels whenever we asked. The location is great and we loved walking across the street to the best IHOP in Daytona Beach area!
