Wow was für ein Hotel! Einfach top! Ich weiss gar nicht wo beginnen und wo aufzuhören! Super nette Begrüssung, der Direktor hat uns persönlich aufs Zimmer begleitet und mit dem Gepäck geholfen. Das Zimmer war gross, super tolle Aussicht, perfekte Sauberkeit! Die Mitarbeiter am Emfpang halfen uns mit Tips und Tricks, haben unsere Fragen beantwortet und uns alles verständlich erklärt. Eine Gästekarte für die ÖV's war inklusive im Zimmerpreis! Was für ein Service. Der Wellnessbereich war grossartig. Eine Sauna mit Bergblick und einem Schneehaufen zum abkühlen. Wo gibt es denn das schon?! Dazu ein kleines Aussenbecke auf dem Dach mit Sprudelliege und Massagedüsen, ein Dampfbad und eine Natursauna. Grosszügige Liegeräume mit leckeren Tees zus Auswahl. Dazu noch eine Infrarotkabine, und das alles ohne mühsame Regeln, jeder kann und darf wie er will. Bravo! Das Restaurant war erstklassig. Sehr freundliche Bedienung, gute Weinkarte mit super Interessanten Weinen. Das Essen war lecker und vielfältig. Alle Mitarbeiter waren äusserst freundlich und zuvorkommend und man hat gemerkt, das die Stimmung gut ist untereinander. Das trifft man leider zu wenig oft an. Dieser Betrieb ist da richtig vorbildlich unterwegs! Am Schluss lernten wir noch die Direktorin kennen, was für eine strahlende Persönlichkeit. Ihre warme und offene Art gibt einem das Gefühl, zu Hause zu sein! Der Familienbetrieb wird als solcher geführt und gelebt. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder, genau solche Orte gibt es nicht mehr viele, wieso das Haus 3*** hat und nicht 5***** ist uns ein Rätsel, Ihr seit alle Top!!!

Wir waren vom 07.10.-11.10.24 im Kessler-Kulm-Hotel in Davos. Die Zimmer im Altbau mit Balkon waren geräumig und sauber und gut ausgerüstet. Einziger Negativ-Punkt: Beleuchtung im Bad/WC ist ungenügend. Lage des Hotels: Super als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen. Mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln und Bahn gut angebunden. Personal: Alle sehr, sehr freundlich und kompetent. Frühstück: Reichhaltiges Buffet, gute Qualität! Schade, dass auf den Tischen eine Liste fehlt, welche Leistungen zu welchem Preis erhältlich sind (z.B. Spiegeleier, etc.) Abendessen à-la-carte: Qualität (inkl. Wild) sehr, sehr gut! Leider teilweise lauwarm. Weinkarte: reichhaltig, mit fairen Preisen. Wir kommen wieder! Danke!

The family Kessler has owned and operated this hotel for a century and we have been enjoying it for half of that time. Situated outside the village of Davos, it is linked by a frequently running free bus system and a train stop right outside the door. it also happens to be located at the bottom of an expert ski run but not serviced by lifts (for that take the public transport into town). The family members are always around and working and are incredibly warm and friendly...the staff friendly, efficient, hard-working. The rooms, if not luxurious, are comfortable. We had room 15 which is on the first floor south/west facing, with a balcony and enjoys the whole afternoon of sunshine. The restaurant offers a large terrace to enjoy the sunshine for lunch or charming indoor dining rooms. Breakfast was quite good, simple but sufficient. There is no toaster for the bread, which would be a nice addition. For lunch and dinner, while the food is quite average, the menu is large and offers a wide assortment of things to eat. In years past we remember the the food being better...perhaps they can up their service....We did have one vegetarian with us and the selection for her was poor however. We ate in most evenings after skiing all day to keep it simple. There is a salad bar which is quite nice. New this year is a marvelous wellness center on the top of the building featuring a modern outdoor jacuzzi (with amazing jets and views), indoor changing rooms, sauna and steam room...all of the finest quality and comfort and NO reason to go to another spa. We would stay here again and again for another 50 years (god-willing) since Family Kessler clearly love what they do and are GOOD at it.

The best meal of my trip was at the restaurant here. I didn't fancy carbohydrates that evening, so the waitress arranged for my venison to be served with the various vegetables that the kitchen was cooking that evening. Having had a late lunch, I wasn't sure how much appetite I would have, but I cleared the plate. The venison was cooked excellently - the knife slid through it and I really enjoyed all the vegetables - thank you! Served with an excellent Albarone. I was lucky enough to get an upgrade on my room from single to double, which was much appreciated. The staff at reception were very helpful with all my questions. The hotel is well placed for both bus and train.
