Wurden heute im Hilton Darwin untergebracht nach einer unglaublich schönen Cruise mit Silversea. Dort Lunch: man bekam, ohne gefragt zu werden, als Vorspeise Lachs oder Schinken mit Salat ohne Dressing und als Hauptgang Beef oder Hühnchen, beides maximal mittlerer Qualität. Kein Versuch, dieses mittels Voranfrage zu personalisieren. Keine Coktails mehr an der Bar um 21.30 Uhr! Kein Wasser im Zimmer, musste an der Bar gekauft werden. Dies soll ein ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Sterne Hotel sein…Auch, wenn es sehr schwer fällt, nach 16 Tage high end Silversea wieder „runterzukommen“- das war schon strange….

My Hilton tradition started in Darwin - in 2022 I couldn’t decide between the chocolate and espresso martini, so I asked for a mocha martini. Tonight Jessica, the bartender, rose to the occasion despite being the only bar staff member working a busy bar and restaurant. The mocha martini was delicious and creative, and she talked me through gins with excellent recommendations. Despite the fact that she was clearly short-staffed, I could see every patron (including myself) were given her full attention. The service industry is tough - Jessica deserves a full paid week off. Also, in case I didn’t mention - excellent mocha martini. Cheers!

I never bother to write bad reviews of restaurants as I take it with a grain of salt that there are staffing issues: but the whole concept is pathetic. It won’t last much longer in Darwin as word is already getting out. The food as described on the menu is so far off the descriptions that’s it’s embarrassing. $170 each plus drinks.. so so so so bad.. the staff are clueless, though of most concern, it seems that they haven’t even hired a chef. As it’s apparent when they look at a ‘menu plan’ that they have no idea of what to prepare for what is on the menu. Staff lifting the empty plate off the table when others are still eating, no training what so ever in basic food service or etiquette. Don’t even consider it, we actually consider ourselves as mugged, that we were robbed. The food was that Bad. Pepper Berry has dropped off too. Likely Darwin Staffing issues.. Management need to keep a better eye on things.

We stayed five nights at the Hilton Darwin, and were very pleased with the whole experience. We stayed in a suite on the Club Lounge floor. The decor was a little dated , and the room a little musty for the first day, but the air conditioning kicked in nicely to disperse any mustiness. The Club Lounge was excellent- plenty of space , beverages available , and substantial canapés from 5pm to 7pm. The hotel restaurant- Pepperberry - provided an adequate breakfast and an excellent dinner: a wide menu , with every dish beautifully cooked. On the 2 days where we had early tours and so left before breakfast was open, the hotel made up breakfast boxes for us, which were appreciated. The hotel was a little short-staffed, which is par for the course for so many businesses these days. However EVERY staff member was extremely pleasant and went out of their way to assist . The hotel is well- located . We thoroughly recommend it.
