We planned this vacation wanting to relax and stay in a quiet place. Darien Waterfront B&B exceeded those expectations. The house: Ms Joanne did an amazing job designing this place with the clients in mind. The layout, decor and grounds are very inviting and appealing. The room: The room exceeded our expectations on roominess and the view. Each room has access to a screened in covered porch to sit without being bothered by bugs and rain. Joanne and Dave were awesome hosts and Joanne is quite the cook. Each breakfast was amazing and was the perfect start to the day. The bad: we had to come home. There is nothing to say bad about this place. It’s the perfect stay.

My wife and I spent 4 days at the Waterfront Inn in Darien. We visited Darien to meet and catch up with another couple whom we have known for years. The Inn could not have been more perfect for our needs. We had a picture perfect experience. Quiet, scenic, relaxing. In fact, the photos on their website, though beautiful, did not do justice for the setting...don't think that would be possible! Oh, and David and JoAnn were amazing (great breakfasts too!). 5 star plus experience!

The Darien Waterfront Inn is a very quiet and peaceful place. David and JoAnn were wonderful hosts and made our stay very enjoyable. Breakfast each morning was an added plus.

My husband and I had one downstairs room and my mother (in her 90s) had the other downstairs room. The rooms were very comfortable and nicely furnished. The screened in porch overlooking the river and marsh was wonderful and we also had use of the central living room. Joanne and David were wonderful hosts and we felt right at home. The property is conveniently located to walk to downtown and nearby restaurants. We hope to make this an annual trip.

Just returned from two nights in Darien, staying both nights at the Darien Waterfront Inn. We found the Inn to be a very comfortable, convent location for our visit. Comfortable beds, excellent breakfasts. We would highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

We visited Darien twice a number of yrs ago & stayed at Joanne's first B&B on the river . We decided to visit Darien again as we traveled to South Carolina. We booked 2 days at the Darien Inn. A lovely surprise when we found out that this was Joanne's new location... It is a lovely home...every room beautifully decorated... 2 porches with comfy furniture ...and a wonderful view of the marsh. A perfect place to relax! Joanne and her husband are delightful hosts. We look forward to returning!
