"Moon Waves" is our little slice of paradise, located off a quiet street in Salvo! This 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is a place to relax and a short walk to the oceanfront. As you enter the home, you'll immediately notice the open living area with high ceilings and a sliding door to the front porch. The kitchen is equipped with gourmet appliances, quartz countertops, and all of the cookware you will need to prepare today's catch. Access to the laundry is off the kitchen area. The dining and living areas are both furnished with comfortable furnishings for the entire family. Make your way upstairs to the cozy master bedroom and enjoy the screened in porch and sea breeze. The 2nd bedroom offers a queen sized bed, and the 3rd bedroom has a full size bed with a twin on the top and a twin trundle on the bottom. This two level, 4 bedroom house is complete with linens to rent for a fee. Master bedroom - King bed shares a Jack-n-Jill bath with bedroom 1 that has a Queen. Both of these bedrooms walk out on to the lower deck. Bedroom 3 has a queen size bed. Bedroom 4 has a bunk bed with double and a twin. 2nd bath is a full bath with tub.At the top of the stairs is a 1/2 bath. Upstairs is an open floor plan, with fully equipped kitchen counter and bar seating, two dining areas. *We now provide sheets and towels!*Stylish, relaxing and private, step back in time at the "Old Bach," an oceanfront 1975 trapezoidal A-frame, overlooking the massive double dune of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore.Inspired by Chris's childhood summers in New Zealand at his family's bach (a rustic beach cottage, pronounced "batch"), we recently gut-renovated and completely modernized the house, while maintaining the original charm and character. The Old Bach is situated on a large, private oceanfront lot at the end of a quiet, private street. There is off-street parking for 3-4 vehicles, including the carport under the house.Our recent renovation involved flipping the floor plan to create a large, open living area on the top floor, with a full kitchen, dining banquette, and comfortable living room with a large flat-screen smart TV. The living room opens to an enormous deck and pergola complete with a dining table and a comfortable sectional. From the deck you can glimpse the ocean between the dunes.Downstairs, the staircase is open to the front hall and the cozy TV room, with another large flat-screen smart TV. There are two queen bedrooms on this level, as well as a stacking washer and dryer, a full bath with a corner shower, and the primary suite. Located in what was originally a large covered porch, the primary bedroom and bathroom are surrounded by windows. The en-suite primary bathroom features an extra large soaking tub with a shower, and a toilet with a bidet attachment.The house features all new plumbing, electric, appliances, flooring, HVAC, kitchen, bathrooms, and paint. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances and premium natural stone quartzite countertops. Both bathrooms have terrazzo floor tiles, handmade wall tiles, and oak console vanities with cast concrete basins.There is a shady deck with a hammock under the house, as well as two outdoor showers: an open shower where the beach path meets the house, and a private double shower with a changing area. The beach is accessed by a trail leading through the Cape Hatteras National Seashore and over the dunes to the pristine beach.There are several good restaurants and small markets within walking distance. A larger supermarket is available in nearby Avon to the south, or Nags Head to the north.We recently purchased The Old Bach and renovated it together as a labor of love. Pet Friendly Hatteras Island Oceanfront House with Big pool. Hot tub. Sleeps 12 in beds. All the amenities. Wi-FI and cable TV We are right on the beach in Waves , NC., on Hatteras Island.... A mile mile south of the Rodanthe fishing pier. 4 bedrooms and three baths with a swimming pool and Hot tub and 2 outdoor showers Nice views of ocean and easy walk to beach Pet friendly house and beach...There are two bedrooms and one bath on the second level next to the kitchen and dining room. Then there are two bedrooms and one bath on the top floor next to the great room. The fourth floor is a loft with a futon and 2 twin beds. Large 16x34 foot SWIMMING POOL, close proximity to the beach, (our own private path see the PHOTOS), the killer hot tub with ocean views, and the Dairy Queen for after dinner ice cream just a bike ride or skateboard or stroll up the street. It is a comfortable Oceanfront house with nothing between you and the ocean except sand. The pool area is spacious and well lit at night for grilling and swimming after dark.4 bedrooms ( plus 'pool room', which really is a 5th bedroom) and 3 baths with an outdoor shower. National Seashore This location is in Waves, NC, about a mile south of the Rodanthe pier on Hatteras Island The house borders directly on the beach. It is only a short walk over magnificent dunes to the water's edge. YOU CAN'T GET ANY CLOSER TO THE BEACH THAN THIS HOUSE, IT IS OCEANFRONT.(We are always getting questions, 'is it on the ocean?' Yes!!) There is also a screened-in porch off the kitchen that looks out over the pool, a south facing third floor sundeck with a hot tub and epic views of the Atlantic, and a fireplace on the third floor for the cooler spring and fall nights. On the ground floor off the pool deck, the pool room has its own bath, a single bed, TV and a sleeper sofa. During the day this room is a play room and an exercise area with free weights and at night this can serve as a fifth bedroom, with its own bathroom and a nice view of the pool. The house features pillowtop mattresses and feather pillows so we can listen to the sound of the ocean from comfortable beds. With the four bedrooms and the pool room serving as a bedroom, the house can sleep12 in beds. There are excellent views of the ocean from just about anywhere on the second and third floors and loft, from inside or out on the decks. You can see the ocean while lounging in the 3rd floor deck hot tub. On the second level there is a large dining area and fully stocked kitchen, with views of the pool and ocean from inside or from the deck or screened in porch. The high cathedral ceiling on the third floor and large trapezoid windows combine to give a feeling of space to the top floor like a ski chalet. Beautiful tongue and groove cedar.There is a loft. For those of you who have been to Hatteras Island, you probably already know that it is the premier destination on the East Coast if you are into fishing, surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, beaching, catching rays, kite-flying, sitting by the pool, grilling, shelling, bonfires on the beach( with a permit ) Or maybe you just want to check your e-mail (Spectrum Hi speed Wireless), or simply enjoy the sound of the ocean with a good book. Pets are welcome if housebroken and on flea preventative treatment...Crossing over the Basnight bridge onto Hatteras Island you leave the other world behind.
