金海灣公寓式飯店

Nous y avons passé 4 nuits dans un appartement en contrebas de la piscine. Nous craignons être en sous sol sans fenêtre mais finalement, on avait de belles fenêtres mais qui donnait sur une mini-terrasse en contrebas. On a donc eu de la lumière. Il y avait une chambre, un salon/cuisine (où le lit de notre fils a été installé sur le canapé) et une salle de bain. Tout était fonctionnel mais un peu vieillot (particulièrement la cuisine et la salle de bain qui mériterait une mise à niveau). Notre lit était grand et de qualité et il y avait bcp de rangements. Il y avait une télé que l'on n'a pas utilisé et Internet a bien fonctionné. Les points négatifs : - il faut payer les serviettes pour la piscine et la plage (10€/serviette et quand on les ramène, on nous rend 8€) - il faut payer les transat sur la plage (10€/jour) Donc, même si le prix de l'appartement était correct, il a fallu rajouter. La piscine est grande et agréable. L'accueil a été assez différent en fonction de la personne de l'accueil, mais dans l'ensemble on a passé un très bon séjour. A noter qu'il y a un grand parking juste à côté de l'hôtel.

Un gros cafard se promenait dans la chambre, après avoir informé la réception et demandé un dédommagement pour cette gêne, on nous a répondu que "c'était normal d'avoir des cafard ici" et qu'ils ne pouvaient rien y faire. Pas de dédommagement non plus. Honteux il n'y a rien de normal à trouver un cafard dans la chambre d'hôtel

First solo trip and this hotel was perfect location for me. The room itself was fine and comfortable, although a little dated in places was kept very clean by staff . I had a semi basement room which was ok for me , I didn’t use the outside area with it due to being so close to pool and therefore could be noisy and often had ball hitting windows , not a real issue for me though. The hotel grounds are beautiful and location amazing. There is bus stop within walking distance takes you to Chania town . Only issue I would say was sunbeds and people putting towels on them to reserve them . On vacating my room there is place for freshening up and leaving suitcase .

We did enjoy our stay at Golden Bay. The apt was nice. There were a couple issues that would have made the stay nicer...One of the doors to the patio had only one hinge, so it couldn't safely be used. It should have had a sign on it for safety. That door also didn't have blackout curtains and make it hard for the kids to sleep because of the lights on the property all night. Didn't tell me until the last night. I thought it was just the sun in the morning. It would have been really nice if there had been dish soap and dish towels for the kitchen area. We did use the kitchen. It worked fine. The pool area is nice, and the loungers have the best cushions, but so limited and not enough shade. At the beach you pay 10 Euro for 2 loungers and an “umbrella". We went out to try one morning, but all were already taken. We didn't try again. Food at the restaurant was good but took a while and sometime took a while to be recognized by staff to order if not sitting in the restaurant. They do work long hours and are pretty busy. Water is less expensive if you take away. We got lucky with parking. It wasn't too bad during the week, but weekends can be harder to get a spot. It is a public lot for the beach. Other restaurants and grocery in walking distance.
