Our stay at Pinthaliya Resort & Spa was truly a memorable experience. Both my husband and I were extremely satisfied with the warm service and unique facilities the resort had to offer. Although communication with staff could sometimes be challenging due to language barriers, their friendliness and willingness to help always 'more', made up for it. Their warm smiles and accommodating nature created an atmosphere of genuine hospitality that made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the Tree House. For those seeking adventure and a chance to reconnect with nature, it’s an experience like no other. Perched high in a massive tree and surrounded by jungle, the Tree House offers a truly immersive experience. Lianas drape around the structure, while macaques, colorful birds, peacocks, and even a curious squirrel provide endless entertainment. The squirrel, in particular, made a lasting impression with its nightly visits through a small opening in the bathroom door—a harmless and charming little guest. From the soothing calls of birds during the day to the echoing cries of peafowl at night, nature’s soundtrack accompanies you at every moment. The Tree House itself is thoughtfully equipped with all the essentials, including air conditioning, clean towels, fresh bedding, and tea and coffee-making facilities. Despite its rustic charm, it offers a comfortable and clean retreat. The attached bathroom, though simple, is well-designed and fits seamlessly into the natural surroundings. One of the highlights of our stay was the breathtaking view from the Tree House on clear days—an unobstructed glimpse of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress rising majestically over the treetops. However, one thing that could significantly enhance the experience is the addition of curtains in the room and bathroom. The lack of privacy in such a naturally open setting was noticeable, and addressing this would personally add a full 5-star from me. Breakfast was included in our package, and we loved the flexibility of dining either on the patio or inside the restaurant. Although the menu is somewhat limited, the staff is always happy to accommodate special requests with advance notice. For instance, I requested some of the delicious dhal served at dinner, paired with a fresh paratha for breakfast, and it was happily prepared. However, we advise future guests to plan their meals wisely and communicate their preferences early, as the kitchen may not have all menu items available depending on occupancy. The resort also features a beautifully maintained pool next to the restaurant area. Spending an evening by the pool, under the stars, with a refreshing drink in hand was a lovely way to wind down after a day of exploring. The lush greenery surrounding the resort is simply stunning, immersing guests in the heart of the jungle. Hôtel charmant et calme dans un parc luxuriant mais loin de la ville. Les bungalows sont disséminés dans le parc, les chambres sont confortables et très propres. Très grand lit, bonne literie, climatisation et ventilateur au plafond. Grande salle de bains Petits réfrigérateur avec bouteilles d'eau. Petite terrasse avec table et chaises. Pas de moustiquaire mais une prise anti moustiques est proposée. Les repas sont variés et bons. La piscine est très agréable Le personnel est très sympathique.

Excellent accueil! Très bonnes chambres dans la verdurequi a permis d observer des animaux comme des calaos et des singes. Un buffet très varie. Merci à Vikum et Adi pour s être si bien occupés de nous !

Very nice hotel in a natural environment very green! Spa available and staff very professional. However you would want to go for another place to have dinner since the buffet is ok but not excellent. Location is very convenient if you want to go for a safari at Minirya (10mn away from the hotel)!
