住宿飯店(La Residence)

Hôtel agréable et bien situé. Proche de la plage et de nombreux restaurants de la corniche des Almadies. Les chambres sont spacieuses avec une bonne literie. Le jardin avec la petite piscine est très appréciable. Bon petit déjeuner. Le personnel est souriant et accueillant.

Very nice place. The staff is polite and cleans well. They dont speak the best off English, but good enough. Very helpful no mather what you will need. Food ok, rooms very nice. Cleans well and nothing to complain about there. Location is golden. Your close to everything. Recommended for a stay for some days.

The location is perfect for a vacation. You are close to everything you would need. Rooms are big and clean all over exept the walls. The staff is very friendly and helped as much they good even doh their english is not perfect. Breakfast was good the first they, then they by some reason change it to something else. Overall happy with my stay and would recommend them for a week vacation in Dakar.

Oh dear. We are counting the days until we can leave La Residence. The rooms are tastefully decorated, so it seems someone at some point had a vision for this place. Sadly every day we need to call about something that is not working, and every day it seems extraordinarily difficult for them to summon any kind of response vaguely resembling customer service. For example, we woke up one morning to our accommodation flooded, and the floor slippery as ice. We called and asked the reception for help. None came, and we had to spend 4 hours falling, slipping and bandaging our children, whilst mopping it up as the water kept coming, before anyone came to help. Three days later, the water is still coming, and we have broken glass on the floor as one of us slipped and fell with a glass of milk for one of the kids. In addition we were tut-tuted by the manager who eventually came to stand and look at it, apparently it was not his shift but his colleague's. I wonder how badly the owners treat their staff in order to achieve such an impressive level of sullen disdain in them for their paying guests.

Très belle maison au décor simple, sans chichi, des espaces lumineux et très propre. Un personnel très accueillant. Petit déjeuner buffet très bon pour démarrer la journée, ainsi que les plats au restaurant de l'établissement. Une belle référence pour Dakar.

The staff was very friendly and always willing to help us have a great stay. We enjoyed the meals we ate at the hotel as well. They made it easy for us to navigate Dakar as first time visitor

La Residence is a great hotel. Clean. Friendly. Peaceful. It was a great refuge from the hustle and bustle of Dakar. I could smell the cleanliness on entering the premises. I highly recommend this place.
