The accommodation is imaginative and cosy, with original art on the walls, creating a relaxing ambiance. Our hope is that when you come, you'll love it so much, you will need to return again and again. As hosts, we understand how important it is that we create a great experience for you. We live only 5 minutes from the house, so are on hand. We clean and manage Bloomsbury House ourselves, assuring you of the highest standards. On arrival, if you wanted to, you could simply park up and relax and unwind for your entire stay. Sheringham itself is a great seaside town, boasting many pubs, restaurants and cafes, all within walking distance from our house. The shopping centre caters for most of our needs with its independent traders. Again, within walking distance you can discover a steam railway, swimming pool & gym, skatepark, museums, theatre, golf course, pitch & putt, a marvellous coastal path and country park walks. We often walk along the beach to Cromer, stopping at the the cafe at West Runton en-route.The property has off street parking for two cars at the front, and a delightful enclosed south facing courtyard garden at the rear. Set on two levels, the ground floor has a living room with comfortable furniture and SMART TV. The dining room is atmospheric and has an arch through to the galley kitchen. The kitchen is fitted with all the necessary items to make your stay a great culinary experience, when you are not tempted to eat out. There is also a shower room and utility room.The first floor has four bedrooms, two with king size beds, one with a king size and a single bed, and a small bedroom with twin beds. There is a family bathroom on this floor. All pillows and duvets are hypoallergenic, sheets, duvet covers and towels are cotton.If you fancy getting in your car for a day out, there is something for everyone not too far away, from a boat hire on the broads, to one of the plethoras of Country houses, Felbrigg, Blickling and Holkham to mention but a few. You could go 'up city', Norwich is a great day out, soaked in history. It hosts an array globally inspired restaurants, there are museums, theatres and cinemas, we often go there on the train.There is so much to do in this area it is a special place that attracts all generations. Bilbo's Cottage is set in the heart of the gorgeous seaside town of Sheringham in North Norfolk. It has three bedrooms (sleeps up to 7, ideally 4-5 adults and 2-3 children) including a downstairs en-suite, family bathroom, a kitchen/breakfast room, utility, large lounge/diner, conservatory, fully enclosed rear garden and parking for two cars. Set within walking distance of the award-winning Sheringham beach & town centre with all the wonderful array of eateries the town has to offer! Bilbo's cottage has been lovingly renovated to ensure it's a comfortable, spacious and stylish home to be in. Having a ground floor kingsize bedroom with en-suite should be very helpful for multi-generational families staying and the family room upstairs is ideal for flexibility when it comes to sleeping arrangements. The lounge/diner leads onto a lovely conservatory which overlooks the private garden, the kitchen/breakfast room is bright and airy (as is the whole cottage) and is very well equipped for cooking up a storm!! The addition of the utility and a separate WC/cloakroom is also convenient. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over and there is a kingsize bedroom again upstairs alongside. Outside the garden is very private, completely enclosed (ideal for doggies!) and there is parking for two cars outside the garage on the driveway.Sheringham is a delightful seaside town and a favourite destination for many. It has all-year round appeal and boasts gorgeous long award-winning beaches, stunning country and coastal walks, idyllic steam train journeys, numerous cafes, pubs and restaurants - everything you could wish for in a holiday! Commanding a premier position along the North Norfolk Coast overlooking the sea, this traditional Victorian building is just a short walk from the sandy beach and perfectly positioned in the popular seaside resort of Cromer. Maynard House is a Grade 2 Listed building built in the 1820s as it was the old Pier Commissioners House. We have retained a lot of its original character with a lot of old and pine furniture. Please note that we keep prices low as we ask guests to bring their own bedding and towels, and leave the property as clean as they find it.The beach, pier and town facilities are on the doorstep without the need for a car. Within 20 minutes Cromer is accessible to Norwich, the Broads and the extensive saltmarshes and sand dunes of the north Norfolk coast.The house is very close to shops, restaurants, theatre, tourist information office, museums, 4-screen cinema and library. The Coop is at the end of the road and enables shopping by foot whenever needed – 7 days a week with 8 to 8 Monday to Saturday. It is within easy walking distance of excellent public transport by train, bus or taxi. The Coasthopper bus enables you to walk along the beach and catch the bus back every half hour.Cromer is built on a cliff overlooking some of Norfolk's most sandy beaches, centered round its parish Church. It is famous for it's fresh crabs but also offers a wealth of other seafood. Young families have the beach, pier and town facilities on the doorstep without the need for a car.Families will delight at the excellent wide sandy beach, perfect for simply relaxing and watching the children play. Enjoy a stroll along the promenade with sunken garden and pier, with its working RNLI lifeboat station and museum, and end of pier theatre with year round entertainment. Excellent walking along the cliff top trail and 18-hole cliff top golf course and the club house nearby. Just 250 yards from the town centre with its wealth of shops. There are plenty of restaurants and inns to choose from. Sample the fresh seafood and shellfish, catch of the day may be purchased direct from the returning fishing boats or simply enjoy a choice of take out meals from the many restaurants. Events include the Folk Festival in May, Carnival Week (held during the third week in August), and fireworks over the water on New Year’s Day (weather permitting). The railway station is just a short walk away with connections to Norwich, the Broads and Sheringham. Catch a bus or drive to the Georgian town of Holt, 15 minutes away.
