Sehr gute Lage (Zug und Bus leicht zu Fuss erreichbar) und guter Service. Auch gute Küche und sehr gut bestùckte Bar (viele Whisky- und GinSorte). Zimmer/Bad relativ klein, "oldfashioned", aber mit allem notwendigen ausgestattet.

Great breakfast and friendly staff. Rooms clean and comfortable. Reserved a parking spot for the day/night to charge up the car, for full charge the cost was £17. This was our 2nd stay and it’s a good location, booked standard room and it was good for us, would stay again.

We received a warm welcome from Frances and Michael. All of the team were cheerful, helpful, friendly and very responsive to our needs. The hotel was in a good location with many of the local attractions within walking distance. The food was well presented and very tasty with generous portions. We initially only popped in for a drink after a long day's hike but were offered a table in the dining room for dinner, should we want it. We didn't really feel dressed for the place, but that didn't seem to matter. I'm glad we did take the table, as the food was fantastic. I had the lamb and my husband had a roast dinner (on a midweek night). The portions were excellent and fresh seasonal veg rather than everything with chips was a welcome relief. The staff were very professional and the restaurant was very nicely decorated. We wanted to come back another night but ran out of time, sadly. We hope to return to Porthmadog in the future and will definitely be calling in again.

I booked in February, paid a deposit and received confirmation, both verbal and in writing, of a suitable ground floor room. 24 hours before I was due to arrive, I received an email stating that my room had been cancelled but they could offer me a first floor room ....... knowing that my mobility issues made it impossible for me to get access to the room. I'm angry and disgusted. Do not trust this hotel.

I dined here last night and honestly can’t fault the food. I had a steak it was well presented and tasty. Five stars However when I went to pay the verbal bill was higher than I expected on questioning this the owner I think slammed a paper copy of my bill on the bar. I was surprised to see a £4.53 (10% I think) service charge for a young man to bring food from the kitchen to my table; outrageous I asked if I was obliged to pay this charge; I was told I wasn’t and another bill without the service charge was thrust at me. I paid drunk my drink never to return A pleasant evening ruined by greed and rudeness

A very enjoyable stay. Although the ground floor rooms are small (as indicated on the website), they are extremely comfortable and well equipped. Staff in restaurant and bar very friendly and the food was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Had a lovely meal and drinks . All good paid bill plus service charge ( which is unusual for 2 people) and also gave tip on top . As taxi arrived we were leaving . I heard the owner shout across the bar which was filled with other patrons . Has he paid . People looked around and I was mortified. Seemed very unprofessional and extremely uncomfortable for me as I was leaving. Definitely need improvement on customer service skills . Was going to leave a nice review but that ruined whole experience for me. So definitely won’t return.
