Good hotel

I normally look to stay in Village Hotels as they are often well priced, clean, good gym and decent food. I’ve been working in Rugby so I booked myself in to Coventry to stay 4 nights. I checked out after 2. I got to my room late at night. There were false eyelashes in the sink, toe nails on the bedroom floor, toilets weren’t clean, the room was overly warm with no air con, pillows were old and well used, I couldn’t get any food in the restaurant as it was overbooked. For this, they charged me £236 per night. I will never stay again or recommend staying there to anyone.

It is a nice hotel and we will probably stay there again. We stayed there for a night. The hotel was slightly difficult to find with the postcode but it wasn’t too difficult. The hotel was very busy but checkin was swift and quick, staff were friendly. We had requested quiet room and we appreciate that it was obliged. The room was spacious and clean, although the carpets were a bit dated and there was no fridge. The floor lamp was not working, as it was a not big deal for us it want too bad. The bathroom was really good and eco friendly. The toiletries were very good. Car parking was convenient and free when we went over the weekend but on weekdays it needs to be paid. The pub downstairs was lively and we had a couple of drinks in the evening. Overall it was a good stay and we recommend this hotel.

Our stay was ok but bit disappointed about few things , the carpet in the room not clean enough ,shower gel empty,no toothpaste and receptionist told us wrong times for swimming pool n breakfast which ended up disturbing our plans

Wasn’t as clean as we would’ve liked. A lot of dirt marks around the room and shower. No fridge. And the app to contact staff was not helpful. Staff weren’t helpful either.

Room very nice…buffet breakfast could have had more fruit My room had to be changed due to my disability and I was not refunded the difference because I did not book directly with the hotel. Great location Very relaxing

On arrival, although there was a receptionist on duty, we had to check in and program our key cards using the screen provided. We had booked a double room for 2 adults but there was only one towel provided, we asked for another which wasn't provided until we asked again next morning and were handed 2 fresh towels. We returned to the hotel later in the day to find that housekeeping had taken away the extra towel and the bathmat leaving us to step out on to a very slippery wet floor. Shower could have been cleaner, the screen was watermarked and there was mould in the corner. Breakfast was decent but there is no proper restaurant only a pub/grill where I thought £16.40 was a bit steep for a burger.

Poor check in as rooms were over booked and I had to wait until this was sorted out! Got to room and crisps all over the floor ! Disgusting ! No goodwill offered and staff just do the bare minimum ! Unimpressive hotel that’s very mediocre! Stood in a 3 deep bar queue with 1 bar person serving on a Saturday night and went to reception to get more servers who instantly appeared from their hideaways ! So much for my Gold Member ******* status ! Someone needs to talk to this hotel about at least “ trying “ to provide better service and get on top of its cleaning in room 417 !
