Wir wurden vom Vermieter unseres Campers in Darwin mit einer falschen Öffnungszeit des Discovery Parks in Katherine auf den Weg geschickt. Ergo war der Park schon geschlossen. Wir fanden aber an der Türe zur Rezeption eine Telefonnummer. Diese wählten wir an und eine freundliche Dame nannte uns die Modalitäten um an die entsprechenden Unterlagen zu kommen. Klappte problemlos. Der Campingplatz ist mit seinen Anlagen sehr sauber und wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. Die Nähe zur Katherine Gorge ist prima.

We weren't sure what to expect when we booked a 2-Bedroom Cottage. It was way over the top. First, it is brand new. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a lovely Bathroom, 2 goodsize bedrooms, one with a King Bed and 1 with 2 Twin Beds. It has a Washer/Dryer inside the unit in the Bathroom. The place was sparkling clean, beds made up with nice linens and towels in the Bathroom. This would easily accomodate a family of 4. 3 different Air Conditioners, 1 in the Family Room and 1 in each Bedroom. Kaitlin and the check-in staff are terrific and so helpful. We are from the US and this is our first experience in the Outback. There is lots to do in the Katherine area. It has been a fun journey and Discovery Parks has been a great find.

We had a four night stay July 24 escaping the Victoria winter, the park was very safe and quite just 10 minutes from town, but on the gorge side of town for easy access. The amenities were kept clean and tidy, sometimes the hot water pressure was only just ok. The pool was good for a quick swim, there is a new pool that’s got new grass growing around that not far of now. The wifi was ok but better if you sit near the reception area to watch any sport or streaming shows. We did the gorge boat tour, did some of the walks, cutta cutta caves, some good clubs in town for meals

Clean tidy and organised friendly staff. Recent upgrades are having a great impact. The new 2 bedroom cabins are superb and well situated and suited to a family or two couples. The new pool is beautiful with a large beach area suited to a wide range of swimmers

We stayed here while the park was under construction which is why the review is average. We stayed in the new cabins and backhoes etc were doing work around them and the new pool. This created lots of dust and the cabin was shaking with the movement from the machinery. We could not use the outdoor deck because of this. Driveway was being worked on so we had to drive up a makeshift drive to the cabin. No wifi access. When we asked a staff member they said that they had been having trouble with it. We could have been told this upon check in. Think this could be a great spot when all the work is completed. We paid top dollar and didn’t get value for money.

One of the best if not the best places we stayed on our trip to Darwin, the pool was huge, it was the perfect temperature, the bistro next to the pool is a fabulous idea and the facilities are excellent. We wish we had been able to stay longer, we had such a great time, so very relaxing, our powered site was huge, the bathrooms clean, the laundry great and the bbqs excellent. Will be back hopefully.
