"We booked on line in January; stayed one night before returning to Poretta Airport from St Ciprianu: we drove up to Corti after dropping the kids off after the first week and were surprised by this beautiful charming hotel, recently refurbished. Very chic, very clean, very good helpful staff. No evening meal provided but in the vicinity of the Auberge de la Restonica where a superb evening meal is available. In a very picturesque location and the river was accessible and I am told, very safe to swim in, (unlike the River Cavu in South East of the island where there have been reported cases of schistosomiasis!)"

"If you wish to spend a few days in paradise, I strongly recommend visiting Corte in Corsica. If you want to stay at a good hotel there, I would strongly recommend du Nord. Location, accessibility, hospitality-everything is perfect! But the most valuable at this hotel is the people running it. To tell you the truth,I have spent more than 30 years travelling around the world and I don't remember if I have met such a courteous and accommodating staff. Thank you very much all! "Quite far out, a long uphill walk from the train station, mostly without pavements and unlit. Lovely pool and outside area, great to access swimming in the stream in the valley. Breakfast was okay but you need to argue if you book with it included in the rate as we did (they tried to charge us). The staff were unfriendly, they left at 8pm, everything closed at that time, the only way of getting food or drink after that was a vending machine but that was broken. Basic rooms with uncomfortable beds, shower took forever to get warm. The next closest hotel (Auberge) has a fantastic restaurant and was very close, but they are closed on Mondays so it was a half hour walk each way to town for food/drink. No taxis seem to be available."

"Hotel à l'entrée de Corte. The centre is accessible at 15 minutes walking distance. Beautiful pool. Breakfast is correct in relation to the price to take on the terrace Spacious room with 2 windows but lack of soundproofing ( next to the reception)."
