Wifi doesn't work in rooms. Blinds didn't shut properly, so light from the porch was shining into the bedroom all night. Neither were ideal for a work trip, where Wifi and a good night's sleep are needed. Rooms are very small. At least it was clean!

We were after a bed for the night but didn't want to pay a fortune. Our check-in was managed quickly and courteously. Looked like the door was newly replaced and while the room was small, it met our needs. The bed was comfortable, the new wall heater worked a treat, the bar fridge was clean and quiet, the bathroom was clean and shower looked to be newly tiled. Plus the location is great, back from the highway and a short walk to the centre of Cooma. If you're after basic accomodation for an affordable price - this place is fine

Amazing what trick photography can do!. Enough to make this motel appear half decent from the outside - WRONG!. My wife & I found the "Quadruple Room" (yes there were 2 singles & 1 king - 2 singles shoved together) for just us was simply terrible. Satisfactory cleanliness could be best described as sub-standard, the toilet cistern leaked to the extent that we walked on towels (to reduce the chance of germ infection) & any sign of a chair would have been nice (in our 50 years of married life we've never been in any motel room without at least 2). My wife doesn't/didn't enjoy singing "I'm still standin' - yeah yeah yeah". Because of our unpleasant experience we escaped very early the next morning - never to be seen again at that motel.

Firstly - we only booked here because there was nothing else available and we did not read the reviews! Mea culpa!! The last time I stayed in a place this bad, I had to dig the trench before I could sleep in it!! On the positive side though, the roof did not leak as it snowed in the morning. This place is a dump. A real B&B property (bulldoze and bury). The door into our room looked as though there had been several break-in attempts. Once inside, the walls were cracked, peeling and probably dirty (we didn't touch them). The ceiling was worse. There were no chairs, no tables. Looking back at the closed door, the security chain had no latch and a very large amount of daylight came through the sizable gap between the door and the doorframe. The only source of heat in the room was a $10 electric heater from Target - the sort that can easily cause a fire if left on. There were electric extension cables running around the walls - I'm pretty sure none of it met code!! The power cord for the electric blanket was pulled so that the insulation exposed the wires. I disconnected it from the power. That night, the outside security lights kept us safe - and awake because the vertical blinds would not close properly. The bathroom - well let's just say we left in the morning without showering!! This motel is a disgrace. No way it meets public health standards.

Hesitantly I paid for a room before looking at the room (it was made on a booking website and the photos looked ok in a time when there wasn't much on offer elsewhere) and I immediately regretted paying $400 for this thing. The manager at the front desk wreaked of cigarette smoke. The second I put my bags on the bed I was calling other places to get out. Someone who worked at the motel (I hope) walked past and clearly had a good look at our stuff. All the blinds are open in all the rooms, probably for this purpose. The door looked like it had been broken into. My daughter didn't feel safe. Having found another place I moved my unpacked things back to the car and went to front desk for a refund. That was a flat "no". So they're running this little scam trapping people into a place, collecting money up front and not making refunds when people are clearly unable to stay in the place. If you're making a movie about meth dealers, this is your ideal set.
