Just loved it..

We have been staying at Reflections for many years, never have we had a bad experience until this recent trip in room 803. Arrived to find the previous guests damp smelly bath towels piled up on our kitchen bench. I hastily placed them outside beside the lift bay which is where they remained for the following 2 days. The gas strut on the entry door to the apartment was broken and the door would slam violently, very dangerous if a hand or finger were to get in the way! The water dispenser on the fridge was covered in mold, it was filthy! Hand prints all over the glass in the bathroom. The furniture....wow, please make an effort to update if you want these prices, it resembled a nursing home, a dated recliner couch and the strange table/bench I am not sure what this was, no art work..it was bland..no holiday vibe at all. Fortunately the view was as stunning as always, we did spend most of our time out on the deck, the outdoor furniture could be improved, so much space and only one small table. Not sure if we will take a chance again at Reflections, there are others along the ***** that might be worth a try.

Paid $5000 to stay a week here over new years and had a joined booking with another family. My friend was told when she made her final payment our rooms would be close together/ in the same floor but weren’t and “there was nothing they could do about it”. I made my peace with that as we collected our keys by a unwelcoming receptionist thinking hey I’m sure it’s just a short elevator trip to go visit our friends. Well they failed to mention you can’t even access any other floor with your key. Only lobby or swimming pool. Massive downer! But anyway we went to check out our room for the week only to be smacked in the face with the most putrid cat pee smell as soon as we opened the door to our room. It was like there were urine stains in the carpet and the smell just lingered unless you kept all the doors open at all times. Sleeping at night time was particularly disgusting though since I made sure all doors were locked as our kids slept in the room beside the balcony. There weren’t any other rooms available so we reluctantly stayed in that room. The unwelcoming receptionist with long black hair was particularly rude to my shy daughter who politely asked for her the code the restroom one day. She said that rest room is not part of this hotel! In a very abrupt manner. 5 mins later we saw her walk into the toilet herself. That frustrated me. Why was she so rude to my daughter about using the communal restroom and then using herself moments later??? There is no restroom in their lobby which I find weird if you are going to give people a hard time about giving the code to access the communal toilet. In summary I’d say, the room had a lovely view of coolangatta, the apartment smelt vile, I didn’t care for the black oppressive furnishings in a beachside hotel room and the staff were not friendly or welcoming. It’s a great location but I can’t see us ever returning to this hotel again. **If the staff ever get to read this review I think we stayed in room 1509 right beside the lift - the smell in this room really needs addressing if you wish to continue renting this room out.

The view from these apartments are always great - nothing better than looking out over the ocean. Note: the property and the decor is quite aged, especially the carpet. Also, the windows are not soundproof, meaning that weekends you can get allot of noise from happy revellers and car hoons that cruise the esplanade at night.

Over priced. Rude and disgusting management Presentation let alone standards are not worth a star The managers I’d call a BB are100% careless. Snotty Staff care factor seemed very minimal Which explains a lot Hopefully others read this and make a smarter choice We will not be paying for our stay here again.

We have stayed in 4 bedroom apartment several times. Excellent location, eateries closeby. Disappointed this trip. Dirty utensils in drawer, coffee machine not working, steam oven not working, smelly drains in 2 bathrooms, no instruction manuals for appliances and unable to find manual on google. Hair in drawer of dressing table in 1 bedroom and clothing tags found in drawers in 2 bedrooms. Apartment could not have been cleaned prior to our arrival. We were on 12 th floor and painter was lowered to our balcony around 1130 one morning to paint balcony - we were not notified. Could have been an awkward situation. 5 nights for $5.000 plus, we would have expected better. Sharon
