Comfortable home in the heart of Conroe, Texas and minutes away from Lake Conroe

Home away from home Our stay at the Cowan house was great, it was very spacious and comfortably accommodated our big family. We loved how centralized it was to everything and the quiet neighborhood was a plus. We look forward to staying here again next time we’re in Conroe!

Reviews were misleading I am a frequent VRBO customer and rely heavily on past reviews to pick my place. Many of the reviews for this house were 10’s or very high and in particular, said the neighborhood was quiet. It was not. The house is right next to a restaurant and a busy street. It is also very close to train tracks and we could hear the repeated horns on the trains each and every night. I reached out to the owner and they said they had never heard of that issue which is hard to believe. They were very kind however and did offer a refund if we wanted to leave. But it was too late to find another suitable place. It was tough to sleep at night. Overall the house was fine. It’s basically two units they combined into one. So one bedroom is a converted living room with a front door and windows by the street. We had issues with mosquitoes getting into the house. The check in process was easy and the owners were very quick and responsive. But the prior reviews were just very misleading and we would not stay here again.

Great place to stay Lovely home with comfortable beds and large bathrooms. The snacks and coffee bar were a nice touch. Very clean and spacious and a perfect home away from home!

Visiting Cousins We had a delightful stay. The rental was spacious. We all had our own areas , with sleeping arrangements for all. Would definitely come again.
