Location wasn't bad, but everything else about this hotel was. The room wasn't clean and didn't have a TV remote. There was only 1/2 roll of toilet paper – no extra / back-up and the toilet handle was broken. The thermostat in the room is apparently just for decoration; after a couple of hours of stuffy air, I figured out that the room wasn't cooling off because the A/C unit under the window was off and had to be controlled manually from the unit. The whole place is badly in need of an upgrade. There are many other hotel options in downtown Columbus, and I would guess all of them are better than this Holiday Inn. When I told management about the issues upon checking out, they said there was nothing they could do since I booked through a third party (**********).

The ladies at the front desk are very rude they did not make me feel welcome at all. They made me and my guests feel like we were bothering them even tho it’s their job to check us in. Very unprofessional, inattentive, unfriendly staff

Front desk attendant was rude and dismissive. Showers and toilets backed up and wouldn’t drain properly.

My room was switched entirely with my brothers. In fact, even though we gave ID, they checked us in as each other. I paid ahead, for a high room floor. My brother did not. They told me that that room type wasn’t on the higher floors. My brother was put on the 11th floor in the same room type I was put in on the 3rd floor. After check-out, the initial hold from check-in was reversed, but I was then charged for my brothers room. Now that reversal has disappeared, and there are currently over $1100 dollars in charges on my card for a stay that should’ve been about $400. I am currently waiting for the charges to all be reversed.

The staff will look you in the eyes and lie right to your face. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. Restaurant closed when supposed to be open. REFUSED to give me a receipt for my stay. Had to get corporate involved. No stairs and one elevator not working.

The bed smelled of body odor and there were gnats everywhere.

Not a good stay, a lot of problems with room not clean at all!
