Homewood Suites by Hilton Columbia

When I checked in my reservation for 2 nights 2 rooms was cancelled incorrectly. I was charged for rooms I cancelled and the night I kept, one room was cancelled. The hotel staff said it was Hotel.com fault not theirs so they wouldn’t refund my account. They did have a spare room, however come to find out it did not have heating or hot water. Other stressful incidents happened & the apologies we received from the 2 staff at the front desk could’nt have been less sincere. “Have a blessed day” in a condescending tone over and over again. The hotel is currently being renovated and looks great !! The workers were more polite & professional than the front desk staff. Definitely NOT Hilton.

Bath tub had a dark circle around as if it was not clean. Later that next morning by someone claims to be manager let me know He was aware of the issue. He later refused to send me a copy of the invoice for my room. He told me he was not the manager I call back ask to speak to manager by name This same person pretending like he did not know who I was talking about and he was not there

I requested a room with a tub so I could soak but was given a tiny handicap tub not a jet jacuzzi tub. There was no pool even though it was advertised which was the main reason we chose that hotel. The breakfast started at 7 AM and the cheese omelettes were small cold and hard along with the sausage links. The pancakes were cold and rubbery. The coffee was brown water with no flavor. The hotel sits next to 2 car lots and the lights came in through the windows causing problems with sleep. The best part of the stay was nice staff and a comfortable bed. We will not go back.

Absolutely awful. Our room wasn’t ready until 6pm! The pool was closed with no notice and there was no shampoo or conditioner or body wash. Staff was rude and did not care at all that our room wasn’t ready and I had 3 kids with me.

We booked a room for one night so that we could could take our kids to the nearby zoo the next day. We have done this several times but never at this hotel. The staff was pleasant welcomed us warmly and the lobby area was nice. However when we got to our room it had a musty smell as if it had been smoked in and they had tried to cover it up, poorly at that. The kitchenette was in disrepair with several cabinet doors being loose and one almost falling off the hinge. The room was otherwise unremarkable until we pulled out the mattress for the sleeper sofa and found a godawful mess. There is no way housekeeping could have missed this if they had checked the room prior(see photo below). My wife and I stay in hotels frequently and know that some places are better than others but this was one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen in a hotel room. Unfortunately there were no other rooms available and it was too late in the evening to move to another property so our family of four had to crowd into a king sized bed for the night. At checkout the lady did tell me they plan to renovate next year so there shouldn’t be any problems once they finish. I’ll just have to take someone else’s word for it because we will not stay here again.

Roaches all over the room when we got in. Hesitant, we started settlin and the were more roaches showing up.

The elevator was out of service for entire stay , the during the first night around midnight I heard the doors opening closing in the hallway for two hour wake me the walls appeared to be very thin. The second night there was a retirement party and we could hear the music through the windows and walls. Again my sleep was disturbed by sounding noises.
