科爾切斯特市中心普瑞米爾飯店

This is a lovely clean hotel in a great location with parking. Now for the negatives. Check in was a nightmare as the screens didn’t work properly and staff were hard to find. Chaos in reception with multiple customers unable to check in. Eventually someone appeared and issued us a room key. Unfortunately he should have had the sense to issue more than one as there were 3 of us in a room. The lights and lifts are keycard operated so whenever one of us wanted to leave the room they had to take the key card and leave the rest of us in darkness! There was no one at reception to request an additional key from after the initial check in fiasco. However the major problem with our stay was the room temperature. Despite setting the aircon to 19 degrees on cool mode, the room stubbornly fluctuated between 26.5 and 27 degrees all night. It was unbearably warm and stuffy - the window didn’t open either. Visited and called reception multiple times but there was no one around to speak to and calls remained unanswered. We had a very poor nights sleep. I have stayed at many Prrmier Inns over the years - some have been new, some a little run down but they have all had great staff available to help you at all times. Not at this Premier Inn however. A very disappointing stay. Will probably avoid this chain from now on.
