Adjacent on either side of this place are two nice resorts where room rates were extraordinary. We found our room at Cocoplum wonderfully comfortable and affordable. I was able to slip out of bed in the morning and not wake my wife or kids, brew coffee in the kitchen, and sit and watch the world come alive. At the hotels on either side, i'm not sure that could have happened unless I had booked a suite - way too much money for me. And Cocoplum has arrangements with the adjacent properties that I can use their facilities for a nominal fee. It's the best of both worlds. Clean. Cool. Comfortable.

First, this is a superior property. First class accommodations. The entire staff was extremity friendly and hekpfull. But.... We wanted to go fishing and our host recommenced three 'fishermen' for us All three responded, but only one had availability. We met with the gentlemen to ask questions, did our best to ensure he understood what a fly fishermen was looking for, and the safety of the non-fishermen in our group and booked out trip The man's name is Phillip Ferguson Warning, do not book any boat trip this person He's dangerous and unprofessional. To make a long, sad story shorter, we ended up with back injuries (compression fracture on the L1) , motion sickness and lots of 'aches and pains' from his careless handling of the boat The sea was not that bad that day, but Philips' boat handing kills and care proved to be honorable and outright dangerous to others. And to top is off he was completely 'clueless' on what a fly fisherman needed. Absolutely clueless Worse experience we have ever had. I won my own boat and have operated it for over 50 years from Alaska to Oregon, British Columbia, Montana and the Pacific Northwest. All of our trouble with Philip was a direct result of his carelessness, lack of concerns for safely of others, not the ocean conditions.
