科克茅斯普瑞米爾飯店

Stayed at premier inn cockermouth last month with work, the rooms were lovely and clean. Reception team dawn, carol, chantel and Jo were all outstanding nothing was too much and they were always smiling and happy to give recommendations on food. Would definitely visit again just to see the staff.

The hotel itself is nice and we have stayed there many times. However the service we received at the reception and restaurant was unsatisfactory. We were advised they weren’t taking booking for evening meals immediately after making payment and a long drive. Handed a takeaway menu as an attempt at an alternative. Found they were serving meals later when we went down. Bar was closed before 10pm. Staff sitting around eating after turfing customers out early. And to take the biscuit, the Wi-Fi was turned off for the whole stay. Terrible service.

This relates to Breakfast at the Brewers Fare. Walked in for a breakfast, as I have done at many Premier Inns in the North. Paid cash. The lady said, just to let you know there is no bacon today. Er OK then, Im sure we will be fine. Got a table. It was pandemonium to say the least. No hash browns, no mushrooms, no bacon, no black pudding, no fresh orange juice, and no coffee. When people asked the staff, we were told, sorry we have run out. The cereal space was empty. So , Sausages, and eggs, and beans. Having said, we got the last sausage, and the people behind us of which there were 8, were told, No sausages sorry, we have run out. Coffee machine shown faulty. Eventually , it was like the staff had had enough, they appeared to disappear. (Not their fault, I felt sorry for them, where was the management, when I wanted my money back. No one about. We left when things got heated between a member of staff and a customer who was complaining.

I booked this hotel in November, but had to cancel. I cancelled within the timeframe and 6 weeks later I have still not received a refund. I have been backwards and forwards between the hotel and their head office but still nothing. Really poor.

Stayed 1 night in Jan 25 Good - easy check in, warm room, clean room, good size tv, clean bathroom, linked restaurant adjacent to hotel easy to get to, free parking but enter reg into screen Bad - breakfast finishes at 10:30am prompt, hotel is located near A road about a 20 minute walk into cockermouth
