"We were not received very kindly upon arrival. The hotel room was okay until I got to the bathroom; what a stench (sewage smell). We smelled this odor for 3 days. I almost sprayed an entire bottle of perfume. The breakfast was meager, no croissants, and the rolls were poorly replenished. On the last day, we made a reservation in the restaurant. We were immediately ushered to the outdoor terrace, even though it wasn't very warm. We weren't even asked if we wanted to eat inside. And the staff was very arrogant and unfriendly, except for one girl; she was the only one. When we asked if the heater could be turned on, we were seated in a corner of the breakfast room. The food was reasonable. But no dessert for me; I was too irritated by the arrogance. Payment wasn't made at the table; you had to walk to the cashier and were completely ignored, probably because we had asked if the heater could be turned on. So no tip from us, which I normally do give. I will not recommend this hotel/restaurant to anyone."

"His hotel was very friendly and super helpful with any needs. We also ate at his restaurant in the evening and it was spectacular! Excellent food with excellent portion size for a very very affordable price and such high quality. Would definitely recommend anyone who visits Cochem or the surrounding area for Burg Eltz to stay there. Wonderful time!"

"We booked a table this afternoon for half six, on arrival were greeted warmly by the waiter. We were served our menus and chose our food, on ordering were told 30-45 minute wait for Pork knuckle - I am fine with this as it sets expectations as it was cooked fresh - The food was great, full of flavours. We had the : Tomato Soup 10/10 Pork Knuckle 10/10 Beef Goulash 10/10 The service was brilliant as well - Cannot fault any of it and really well priced for the layout and quality of food as well! Thank you for a great evening meal"

"A perfect small hotel in the middle of the city just beside the small square with its restaurants, cafe’s and nice places where we enjoyed some e beer of wines. Very nice staff, good breakfast and nice rooms. Despite its location it was very quiet and relaxing place to stay. (Note: 4 floors but no elevator.). I really recommend this nice hotel."
