What a wonderful place to stay! A very warm welcome greeted us as we walked through the front door! The room (number 5) is definitely the best room - dual aspect with a lovely balcony to sit out on and watch the water and harbour. A very comfortable bed helps a great nights sleep. Dinner was lovely and breakfast very good too! Service was excellent and the staff really friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Although located at the bottom of the steepest hill in Christendom (or so it seems after a long walk), this is an absolute gem. The staff are friendly, the room was extremely comfortable and the restaurant was a delight. Fine dining was not what I had expected on arrival. Breakfast was fab, too. You don't have to walk there, the hotel has its own car parking. Highly recommended.

What a fantastic hotel so welcoming we stayed two nights with friends the staff were so friendly and helpful ,. We stayed in a sea view room and watched the sunrise from our room . Breakfast was delicious everything you needed , we had fresh lobster in the restaurant that had been caught in the morning. Could not fault anything.

This is a lovely pub/Hotel. Beautiful location, great food and local cider and the staff were absolutely amazing. We had a lovely meal and were looked after by very friendly staff who kept us entertained. The location is so peaceful so sitting outside enjoying the views with a drink is wonderful.

Needed a quick bite. Red Lion at Harbour will do the job. Lobster brioche was more than decent, good chips. Sea bass fillet was good although rather small. Served in plastic boxes, wooden cutlery and a bit overpriced but hey it’s a tourist trap and they have a captive audience.

Lovely old pub and hotel literally slap bang on Clovelly quay. Visited on a Wednesday and arrived relatively early for lunch and a drink. Minimal menu but food good and location sat outside fabulous - obviously a hard place to reach at bottom of very steep walk down cobbled path from entrance to village - don’t wear sliders or flip flops !!
