Great location to go to a Cavs game. Big and comfortable room.. Fair breakfast.. I’ll stay again..!

Property was walking distance from Rocket Mortgage Arena and Progressive Field. Rooms are in rough shape and the dark colors in the design are depressing. We had issues with the 1st room smelling like smoke and shower drainage in second. Tubs look dirty but it discoloration from needing a reglazing. The staff, especially Christina, we’re understanding and helped remedy the issues to the best of their ability. She noted renovations are due next year — and that won’t come a moment too soon. Overall, we had a multi-day stay and the accommodations wer not up to the usual Marriott standard. Hopefully that will change soon and kudos to the staff for maintaining a positive attitude and being customer oriented.

I stayed there on 9/8/23 for one night. I usually don't write reviews but wanted to this time around. Location was good, staff was nice, rooms were kind of old, but the real issue I had with my stay was what was in the room. Once we arrived we did not have any hands soap in either room for our 2 bedroom suite and there was also a pair of used boxers in our bathroom. It took 3 calls and several hours later for them to come up and give us the soap and remove the used boxers. I was told I would get half off my room as a result, but after checking out at 12PM on 9/9 the lady at the front desk was not aware of it. I'm writing this review hoping someone sees this to reach out and make this write. Again staff was nice and I just want the half off offer I was told I would receive.

Loved the downtown atmosphere. Busy area but not loud. Conveniently located within walking distance to Progressive Field baseball stadium. It had lots of unique shops located within the hotel, however they closed fairly early. Little pricy, especially after paying over $100 for 2 nights of valet parking. Not sure if there were any other parking options. Only other con was hot breakfast items not being available. Breakfast is available from 7am-10am. My family didn't make it there until about 9:45 and other than make your own waffle, all hot item pans were empty. There were about 10 other people that came in after us wanting hot items as well. Staff courteously explained hot items took one hour to prepare. I felt they should have made enough to ensure items were still available up until the breakfast time advertised. Overall, it was a nice stay.

NO mention of the water being turned off by the city the next morning until AFTER I checked in and saw the notice in the elevator. Would have been nice to have the option of going to a different hotel that was going to have water to shower with. Rooms are spacious, but bathroom was teeny...barely enough space to turn around and close the door. Vanity light fixture wasn't working properly. The hotel is dated and even though I checked in after 4PM there were piles of dirty linens in the hallways leading to my room. ADA accessibility was a joke...good thing I wasn't in a wheelchair on this trip.

When I first arrived my room had a broken closet door and hair all in the bed on/under the pillows and the ceiling was chipping so they gave me a different room, that was one was cleaner but it didn’t have a pull out bed so that inconvenienced my stay the wall was falling apart and it looked as if someone punched holes into them my mirror was also broken but the staff was really nice and helpful about the situations if I were to go back it would be because of the staff

The hotel was a unique experience with old world charm but has been remodeled with modern day convenience. It is directly in front of Rocket Mortgage fields which was perfect since we where in town for a cavaliers game. The staff was extremely friendly and rooms are spacious.
