Visited Clermont-Ferrand for a family event so we chose this hotel because of its location that is both close to the city center, tram stop, and our family's house. When we arrived at the hotel we just wanted to drop our luggage first because we wanted to explore the city and check-in time is nowhere near yet, however the reception was very accommodating and let us know that our room was ready and we were able to check in early. So instead of heading right to the city center we got our proper rest in and nap! The space in the room was enough for both of us, the bathroom size was also good. No complaints at all.

All very good especially bargain restaurant and breakfast. Don’t hesitate. No parking though

Le Check in et check out se sont bien déroulés, le personnel donne des recommandations de bonnes adresses dans la ville et la région. Quant au petit déjeuner, il était bon et diversifié, c’est la cerise sur le gâteau.
Seul petit bémol c’est la petite taille des chambres et la sonorisation avec la rue adjacente.
I stayed at Holiday Inn Clermont-Ferrand Centre for 2 nights in early December 2025. The location is excellent – right in the city centre, walking distance to Place de Jaude, Christmas market lights, and easy access to public transport for the Zénith concert venue. The room was clean, modern, comfortable, and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful during check-in and throughout the stay.
However, there is a significant problem with the €100 security deposit. At check-in, it was pre-authorized on my card (standard procedure). At checkout on December 7, I was told it would be automatically released.
Unfortunately, as of December 29 (3 weeks later), the money is still blocked on my card. The hotel acknowledged a technical issue with their payment terminal on December 6 that affected releases, and promised it would be fixed “at the beginning of the next week” (email on Dec 17), but I have received no further response despite follow-up emails.
This has caused unnecessary financial inconvenience during the holiday period. While I enjoyed the hotel itself, I cannot fully recommend it until this matter is resolved, as the deposit process has been unreliable.
I hope management addresses this quickly for future guests.
