What a tranquil place! Exactly as in the picture and so much more. John is a excellent host. We did a short walk to the caves which we thoroughly enjoyed for the adventure and mystery. The views all day long are so picturesque. The rooms are comfortable but the bedrooms can get very cold in the night.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is a beautiful and relaxing area, the hosts are so warm and friendly and the grounds are very clean and tidy. The cottages aren't fancy, but they are comfortable and with little children I appreciate that there weren't anything around they could accidentally break. They had a blast in the swimming pool and we all enjoyed the spa bath tremendously. Very relaxing. The silver mine was a bit scary for our littlest, but the older one really enjoyed it. 3 nights were not enough to explore the surrounding area and make use of the facilities so I guess that means we'll have to go back! Thank you again for a great stay.

Website needs updating as the only list activity available was the Silver Mine. Had booked and received confirmation of a Superior Cottage but was allocated a Standard Cottage. Had booked a 2 bedroom but had to 'request' access to the second room as this had been locked off. Bed were great though!

Silver Ridge Retreat is a fantastic series of self-contained lodges. We really liked that we had two separate bedrooms in the one building and a fully fitted out kitchen, dining area and living space all for a very reasonable price compared to the other overpriced accommodation at Cradle Mountain. It is a one hour drive to the park but it also means you are close to Sheffield which has great evening hotel meals and a fantastic bakery that opens from 6am. The owner even checked us in rather late which was a big help. Very comfy beds, super hot shower and incredibly quiet and picturesque location. There is even some great hiking right outside the door up to Mt Roland and around the property. Easily the best pick in the wider area.

We had a great family stay at silver ridge. John was so welcoming and gave lots of tips to spot wildlife. We found the platypus and it was amazing to see one in the wild. The scenery is beautiful. Pool was a great bonus for the kids after a long day exploring. Would really recommend this place

Silver Ridge Retreat is in an ideal position with its beauty and closeness to a lot of things. However, the place is in need of a bit of maintenance and love. The Power-point in the kitchen doesn't switch off (needs repair) - I don't like using electrical things that look dicey. The bathroom basin had black mold around the rim where the plug goes and the place smelt dusty (that shut up smell). There were also dead flies behind the chair, it didn't look like it had been vacuumed. The two small chairs were most uncomfortable, the 2-seater was okay though. Pillows were very firm but at least the TV worked to get some News. I don't like to run places down but I think it was expensive for what you get. A suggestion would be to put in some nice new towels, hand towels and face cloths, use some nice smelling air product to make it welcoming for your guests.
