My overnight stay was on Wednesday September 25, 2024 and my room was located on the first floor. I was laying in bed about to go to sleep and I felt bugs/roaches crawling on my head. When I got up and turned on the light I saw them on the bed as well. I addressed this with the front desk and lady was nice and apologetic and switched me to a different room on the 4th floor. I noticed trash bags and dirty linens on that floor outside of rooms on that floor which confirmed that this hotel is dirty all of the time. I took photos of these bugs and of the dirty 4th floor hallway. I reported this to the manager and the front desk in the morning. The attitude of the lady at the front desk was a little unsettling. The manager, Joshua Castle, asked to comp my room but I said no. He offered to comp me some Hilton Honors Points and I agreed, he offered me 15,000 points for a one night stay. I was insulted by this offer as I know for a fact that this hotel goes for 50,000 points a night as I had considered coming back to stay at this hotel at another time. He asked me what I wanted and I asked him to do what he felt was right. The fact that his offer was only 15,000 showed me that he didn't care about my experience. 15,000 is virtually nothing in regards to an overnight stay. I told Joshua not to give me the points either. Also, Joshua Castle, the manager kept making a comment about it being weird that there were bugs crawling all over the bed because that wasn't normal behavior. He must be a bug expert or may have been insinuating something but I found that to be offensive. I am Diamond with Hilton and I will end this year at or a little over 100 overnight stays at Hilton hotels and this brand will never be one that I stay at again. I have also advised our travel department of my experience and ask that they remove this hotel from our travel booking site. I also had throw to throw away my suitcase from this week to make sure bugs didn't come home with me. What a disaster! I called the Hilton Diamond desk and they were not much help. See photos for proof. I wish that I could give this hotel a negative star rating!
Easy on/easy off access from Interstate Highway 35W, and adjacent across from the Texas Motor Speedway. Very well maintained facility, quiet and calming. Front desk personnel were friendly and welcoming, courteous and professional. Room was super clean and tidy with plenty of in-room amenities. The king-bed was a great sleep. Breakfast was diverse and hearty...plenty of selections in the dining area on the main level. Highly recommend. FYI, make sure to try to reserve a room on the backside (south) of the hotel away from the Interstate Highway 35/and Highway 114 because of the traffic whine.
Valerie at the front desk was so welcoming, efficient and helpful. Made me feel right at home and really grateful that I chose your hotel. Lobby and elevator were very clean as well as the dining area. Breakfast was appreciated as well. Room was comfortable and clean for the most part. There was some scary brown liquid drips on the wall next to the bed, so not perfect, but overall I would still recommend.
We bought a Groupon with some friends on at the spur of the moment and decided to forgo our weekend usual of being at the lake and instead drove 12 miles to this lovely hotel. The entire staff was friendly, courteous, and went out of their way to make sure our overnight stay was top notch. The pool is bigger than most hotel pools and very, very quiet. We packed a cooler and made a day of it at the pool. Eric, the shuttle driver dropped us at a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant for dinner and then picked us up when we called him. He helped with the mini refrigerators we needed and even provided extra pillows. We had a great time at the hotel. So much fun that we did it two weekends in a row!!
NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL! My family and I are were guests at this hotel for a weekend and on that following Monday I was charged $500 because we were told by management that we left the water running “on full blast with the drain closed” in the tub upon check-out (WHICH WE DID NOT DO, who in their right mind would do that) essentially flooding the entire hotel…. I found out about this because of the charge on my card, no one from the hotel even tried to call me to modify me of the “damage” my family caused. The manager Karl/Carl was extremely rude and unprofessional. He constantly talked over me and never tired to resolve the issue. He stated no one went in the room after us (not even the cleaning service) only my family. I called Choice Hotels multiple times and continued to get the runaround about the situation. Bottom line, they simply wanted more money and chose my family to be their victims.
