Nice hotel a short distance from Glenwood springs centre. Big car park with a nice view from most rooms. Not far from the springs and adventure area if you’ve stopped off for that. We drove into the centre but you could walk if you had longer. Couldn’t ask for anything more from a hotel here.
We had stayed at the Hotel Denver years ago, and did not realize at the time of booking that the Hotel Maxwell Anderson was the same place, rebranded. What a nice facelift! The location is totally convenient, walking distance to the pool and downtown. Check-in was easy, the front desk clerks were friendly and helpful. This was a last minute trip and were trying to make this a budget-friendly stay and chose an inside king room. It was small, but well appointed, comfy and cozy. We get to Glenwood once or twice a year, and this will be our go-to place from now on. Ours was a mid-week stay, I felt that it was an excellent value, not sure how the prices would be on the weekend.
We chose to stay here because the cost of this hotel + entry to the hot springs pool was equivalent to just a hotel room anywhere else in town. And we weren’t planning on hanging out at the hotel anyway. I didn’t expect much but was pleasantly surprised that the room was clean, comfortable, in a great location, AND they’d left fresh cut flowers on the nightstand. It’s so simple but having those flowers there sent a message that they truly cared that we had a pleasant stay and took the time to really prepare the room for each guest. And it felt good to support a local business. I don’t ever write reviews but I want to support and keep places like Starlight open. Thanks!
Hey there. All things were so great here. I was in town for a site visit at a property. I stayed here while I did that. Everything was great. Had a great time. Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Wifi was great.
The Best Western Antlers is totally adequate and budget friendly but you get what you pay for. Pros Located near hot springs and Caverns Adventure Park. Beautiful property with lots of activities for kids including a playground, volleyball, pool, fire pits, and a tennis court (pickleball equipment available at the front desk). Many cable channels. Lots of ice and vending machines throughout. Laundry facilities onsite. Cons Breakfast: The dining room was small and overcrowded with nowhere to sit. Either the waffle batter or makers are not right. Every time we made a waffle a section of it came out flat. I’ve never had that happen before. The blueberry waffle dispenser was broken and would not dispense the batter. The syrup was in community squeeze bottles that were low or totally empty creating great demand. The only worker was harried and grumpy - they clearly need two people staffing breakfast. Housekeeping: Our room as not cleaned and when we called we were told they would try to send someone. The towels were stained. There was no toilet paper holder - strange. No king size beds.
We booked through a third party, and our reservation was not conveyed properly to the hotel. When we arrived, they did not have a vacancy for our first night, but got us in for the other three. They looked up what other hotels had vacancies for our first night (so we didn't have to do it on a phone screen) and invited us to breakfast the next morning. We had a condo room, which was perfect for two adults and two teens who need a little physical and mental space. The kitchen was adequately supplied and the accommodations were clean. Housekeeping was very good. The beds were comfortable. Some of the furnishings and finishes are old, but you can tell that the owners really care and are doing what they can. A major roof renovation started while we were there. The condo is a great option to have the essential features of an AirBnB or VRBO (separate bedrooms, living room, kitchen) without the ridiculous upcharges.
