Upon arrival at 930pm we were politely informed the buffet had closed. Most hotels we have visited had food waiting in our room upon arrival. We were informed they put on a soup kitchen at midnight which was ok apart from having to stay awake being up from 5 am with little food so we had a couple of drinks from the bar. staff at the bar where friendly enough and efficient. Upon going up to our room we did find room service available which we thought was good value for hotel room service. The smart tv as advertised on our booking site turned out to be standard satellite tv and all languages apart from English we did ask for someone to have a look to see if there was any English he did not understand us so advice you take a lap top or iPad as the internet is good.we knew before we went all hotels are on winter operations and paid a good price to go. There is a small pool to use indoor but the outside is closed. The food in the buffet was hit and miss depending on your tastes and nothing seemed to be labelled up properly so any allergies you must ask for example one dish labelled as grilled fish turned out to be mutton this seemed to be the theme throughout the week. The salads were nice but again salad dressing no labels. Great choice in desserts all good quality. Moving to entertainment there wasn’t any at all hotel lobby used as the main bar which didn’t bother us. Looking around the hotel signs of wear the bedroom was clean comfortable but bubbling in areas in the wall coverings balcony could’ve done with a touch up shower head grimy sky effect lighting in pool area flickering with blown bulbs. All water features like the front fountain with dirty water left init For this I would rate this as a 4 star not 5 star hotel press 0 on your phone in your room they will answer any problems we had with noise such like they generally sort it from there. The spa was great value but learn where to say no as they love to sell you extras as that’s the way it is wherever you go. The private beach for the hotel was quite a trek in summer the snack bars and bars would be open but don’t waste your time in the winter months it’s all closed. I asked one day about guest relations office there isn’t one but however there is a desk at the side in reception where you can sometimes find the guest relations. Going back to the bar the options for beer are limited there is only one pump containing one brand of lager there are spirits and cocktails however. We asked at reception as regards buses outside the hotel as we were advised not to attempt getting a local taxi as they charge what they like and don’t use the meter. They could only inform us where the bus stop was given the hotel is a few mile out from anywhere I would suggest training some staff on bus routes numbers and advice where to go as the tour operators just try and sell you rubbish days out consisting of 7 hours travelling total and 3 hours tour these are nothing to do with the hotel but would help if staf
