I felt this hotel is good. Very close to vadakkunatha temple. The staff are also good and helpful. it would be better if they shift the entrance to the local bar in the ground floor away from main entrance to the hotel.
They claim to be following international standards on their website (see screenshot), but it's far from it. Firstly, the main issue was that NOISY events were held late into the night. This is highly inconsiderate of the other guests in the hotel. Even my friend on the floor below us could hear it. If someone wants to have such an event, they need to book them into a different space, or just tell them it's not possible. Cleaning staff seem to ignore their own hotel policy. Stuck on the back of each room's door, is a sign that basically says we'll only clean your room if you hang the ”please clean” sign. Didn't do this, came back to see they'd been in. The next day, hung the ”do not disturb” sign, and they still came in!!! Didn't even leave hand towels, or top up toilet paper. We were always out all day, and literally only used the hotel for sleeping, so no need for the rooms to be tidied regularly. Also very frustrating because they are touching your belongings that you leave out, not expecting anyone to come into your room. The gym has a window that faces the road, which means passers by just stare at you working out. Not ideal for females, or anyone wanting privacy. Shower area doesn't have a door, so water splashes out sometimes. Bathroom in general is small and tight. Toilet paper holder in a really awkward spot. We take the toilet paper off so it's easier to use, but they keep putting it back on (ignoring the visual cues to not clean the room). Hairdryer doesn't work. No room service menu, or general information inside the room. Don't even know what number to call to get reception, as there's no list of phone numbers. Wouldn't help anyway, as the phone seems plugged in, but doesn't have a dial tone. Only one power socket between the two beds. The other sockets were on walls no where near the beds. Also, there are people who smoke inside the hotel. It should be mentioned on the website if it's a smoking one. It's absolutely disgusting, and the poor ventilation means the smell lingers. Staff have all been quite pleasant though, and always helpful. Unfortunate that some of them don't seem to follow their own rules.
The hotel is about 10 minutes drive from the town. Parking is a bit problem, but the staff will take care of this. The checkin process was completed in less than 10 minutes. A very good quality elevator takes you to the floor. The room is having a traditional key and lock mechanism. The first impression of the room is neat and clean. There are hangers, kettles, bedside table and a study table. There a cable television for entertainment also. Our package include breakfast also. As informed, the breakfast will be server from 7:30, we reached by 7:45 but the breakfast was not ready. Since we had a busy schedule, the restaurebt manager helped us to arrange some food. The taste is average, but the quality is good. Some recommendations to the hotel are: - The dental kit was missing in the toilet - Kindly arrange the iorning table and iorn box to each room - An LED desk light to the study table is highly recommended - The kettle was not clean - The hair drier was not working - Kindly provide a bill at the time of checkout. What I like the most: - I haven't used but there is a WiFi provided by the hotel - The quick response from the staff; this is a very very good point in the service industry - Clean atmosphere The hotel is highly recommended to families who are looking for budget hotel with above average facilities. Make sure that you have options to travel to the town.
I booked for 2 days for 21st March till 23rd Mar single room. When I checked in I made the payment Rs. 1521.00 and I asked if this is all I pay the receptionist said yes mam. I went to Kalady on 21st March and stayed there for 21st Mar and returned on 22nd March which I had let them know just needed a place to leave my luggage and my next destination trip was booked from trissur as no transport available from Kalady. On 23rd Mar when I checked out there was a new staff receptionist who charged me again 1521.00 fir 22nd March saying the payment for 21st Mar was for one night. I had made travels across the world and every hotel collect the price for the while stay either when you check in or when you check out. These people are cunning to double charge me. If they charge 1521.00 for that kind of room it's disgusting as there were cocroaches in the room and it was tiny little room which has dusts and hairs on the floor and on cabinet, no hot water facility just some basics they had. Other thing is the receptionist called me on 22nd Mar and said your room was open and have luggage and I'm calling to check if your coming when I left for Kalady on 21st Mar I locked the room and gave the keys to him and said I will be back tomorrow. That I find very strange and annoyed me. Not sure why they opened the room and definitely it was not clean so not to Clean the room. I myself cleaned the floor to do yoga when I arrived on 22nd Mar. So not trustworthy either. It was an unpleasant experience. I booked for 2 days for 21st March till 23rd Mar single room. An unforgettable experience in a quaint little place called Gurukripa Heritage Hotel. Neat and clean rooms, friendly and co-operative staff, above all excellent location in the heart of Thrissur. Not to mention the tariff which was more than reasonable. Though the hotel does not have a restaurant, the place is surrounded by restaurants serving mouth watering delicacies. Deserving special mention here are the Managers, who were always there to attend to your needs 24/7 and within minutes. The review will be incomplete without mentioning Mr.Naredra, who was always available to get you packed food and has the ability to et you your bed tea/coffee within 10 minutes. On the whole a very pleasant stay, would highly recommend the place to anyone visiting Thrissur.

訪訪客用戶Nice stay. Good room and staff ! but no amenities, no food. Food can be managed by swiggy or zomato or outside. But at-least there is no kettle to make tea or coffee or for hot water. Which was very much needed.
