The staff are very nice and the location is excellent - city centre easily walkable and there is a bus for £2 single anyway. The cooked breakfast is good, usually, although tomatoes were a bit hard. Smashed Avocado on toast was very good, as were the poached eggs. Breakfast buffet is not very impressive. Would have liked more than one cheese and sorry-looking ham. Disappointed that espresso or cappuccino etc were charged extra when the room was more than £300 a night. Suggestion to put in a coffee machine in the breakfast area so people can help themselves. Bathroom was just about adequate but shower head fixed and the hairdryer was on the wall in the bathroom, so underpowered to say the least. Needs renovation to come up to today’s expectations. Realise this is a Victorian house but the plumbing is not good when you can have to flush the loo numerous times..The hotel also needs better ventilation. During the summer, it can get very hot. There was no fitness area, no spa etc. Room cleaned only on request and no replacement of water bottles unless you request them. Not sure what makes this 4-star in terms of facilities. Wouldn’t stay again at more than £300 a night for a room that needs serious renovation to make it pleasurable. There is an excellent restaurant just steps away over Banbury Rd called Gee’s. Two pubs/other restaurants and a small shop close by in North Parade Avenue.

床很乾凈，樓下就有超市購物方便。窗户密閉效果不錯，窗外來來往往汽車聲很小。但隔壁打呼嚕聲、樓上地板上走路聲很響，半夜幾次被吵醒。衞生間洗臉池的冷熱水是兩個獨立龍頭，冰火兩重天。

為什麼給滿分，第一我們到了之後有員工熱情的幫我們提行李，我們住3樓，房間很大上下樓的，前台工作人員很熱情的幫我們去停車，早餐有免費的和付費的，千萬要注意，如果在訂單上面不選早餐也不要怕，他也是有早餐給大家吃的，就是麵包火腿芝士牛奶咖啡茶果汁，這是免費的，地點很方便，走路去基督學院也就是哈利波特魔法食堂8分鐘，去阿什莫林博物館15分鐘內，超級方便！圖片是兩分付費早餐，13塊。

Lovely place, good size rooms, friendly staff and Steak for breakfast! Also easy walk from City Centre. Will stay again when I'm next in Oxford, nothing to complain about, Hotel in nice location and food was excellent. Nothing else to add, but as review has to be at least 200 words I've added this bit!

真的很享受我們的5晚住宿。經理和每個工作人員都非常友好,禮貌和細心。我們的房間寬敞,乾淨,舒適。由於以前的評論重新噪音,我擔心在前面的房間裏,但說實話,這根本不是問題。早餐室令人愉快,並導致一個美麗的放鬆保存良好的花園,傢俱很好。選擇煮熟的早餐爲您或歐陸式早餐,如果願意。我肯定會推薦Pickwicks,並期待將來訪問。Trip Advisor說這家酒店“寵物友好”,這是不正確的,因爲他們不接受寵物

在牛津玩了兩天，因為是三個人，所以選擇不是特別多，於是就定了這家。房間還算乾淨整潔，但是水龍頭有漏水的情況，裏面的吊燈也是壞的，房間裏面有一扇門關不上。但是總的來說價格合理，地理位置方便，步行到市中心就兩分鐘，火車站也是不到十分鐘，但是酒店門口很小，在街邊，要仔細看門口貼的標誌才找到，服務人員是一個小哥哥，態度很好，還幫忙拿行李。如果是追求好環境的話不建議，但是短途旅行且多人的話，還好可以的。

I did not mention the cost of this hotel to my husband before booking it as he is a bit frugal. I chose it because it was in the heart of old Oxford and had a free parking space for our rental car. I did not want to navigate the congested Oxford Streets driving on the left side of the street trying to find a parking space. We are both senior citizens with physical walking limitations. We glided into our parking space and left the car in it for our whole visit. We bought a hop on and hop off bus pass. The bus stop was right outside the Inn. We were able to visit all the major sights we wanted to see and limit our need for unnecessary walking and Ubers and taxi's. We had a well organized handicapped room. Not all of them are as functional as this one. We were able to walk to nearby eateries easily. We also ate in the Quod restaurant one night when it was raining and it was great. We paid to have the morning breakfasts which were outstanding. My husband was particularly impressed with them. The staff was lovely and extremely helpful with advice and offers to help with bags.If you are young healthy and on a budget this might not be the best match. But, if you are older, want to be in the middle of history, need to be careful about physical effort, and comfortable with the cost, this is an outstanding hotel experience. I confessed the cost to my husband before we left and he uncharacteristically said, ”It was worth every penny.”

The Oxford House is a great place to stay for a quick night in Oxford on a budget. We dropped in without a pre-booked reservation on a quick stop in Oxford on our road trip out to Wales and got a room right away without any issues. Our room was tidy, clean and was stocked with tea and coffee. Parking was free and available right out front.
