Absolutely love his hotel. The staff are amazing and like my second family these days as I go for business all of the time. Natasha, Timi, Sheena and Ross on reception are so friendly and always warm and welcoming. Nothing is a problem for them. Also Sarah and Trafford are so friendly and helpful at breakfast. The bar staff are very nice too. They are just in the process of refurbishing the rooms which makes it even nicer. Would recommend to all.
I am extremely disappointed with Tankersley Manor. Over 3 years ago, we paid a deposit for our wedding which was around £2,500.00. Unfortunately, an immediate family member found out the sad news they were terminally ill a few weeks after we booked the wedding, we informed the wedding venue that we would like a refund (over 2 years ago before the wedding date) as we had over arrangements we needed to prioritize. Tankersley were not prepared to offer a refund on this basis or would not agree to send us back any of the money we had paid towards the wedding due to our unfortunate circumstances. The hotel manager and the wedding coordinator was helpful but the message from ‘above’ was there was no chance of a refund due to the contract which I found a little sickening as we had only paid this a matter of weeks ago. I hope if you’re planning on booking your wedding here please think about how you could be treated if you found yourself in the situation we did. With over 2 years notice of cancellation Tankersley decided to take £2,500.00 away from us with no option to return the money. This is poor from the business and senior managers here. I hope everyone reading this proceeds with caution when booking a wedding here as I am disgusted by the lack of empathy & understanding they have showed to me and my partner in a horrible situation.
