Friendly hotel in an absolutely beautiful location. We arrived on bicycle, and they were very accommodating about storing our bikes in the garage. The hotel is a very short walk from Arantzazu monastery and at the base of beautiful hiking trails. Breakfast was not fancy but satisfying. The hotel porch was busy when we arrived on a Sunday afternoon but was quite peaceful once all the day tourists left.

Close enough to the highway for a stop-over coming or going to France. NIce quiet place with good parking and garden. BIt noisy as there were a lot of guests. Restaurant was negative. Too many people ( parties) which made service poor. Food was not tasteful and served already cold.

Wow! The hotel was a dream, the room was amazing with the most stunning views across the roof tops of the town towards the misty cloud topped mountains in the distance. The hotel manager Inigo was super lovely, really friendly, helpful and so sociable he made the stay in an already perfect setting 5* I can recommend eating at the hotel one night rather than always venturing out it was really lovely and the birthday cake with candle & the whole restaurant singing to my best friend made his night. The grounds are kept beautifully and as an eco site surrounded by fruit trees, a really lovely place to enjoy a glass of wine ( which the manager Inigo made some excellent suggestions of) and to sit back and just enjoy the breathtaking scenery. All of the hotel staff were lovely without exception ( quite rare). Recommend the drive to Donostia ( San Sebastián) lovely day out, also to Bilbao for the Guggenheim Museum but coming back to this gem nestled in the foot hills is what made it special

We stayed on the top floor for a 3 night stay with our 3 year old son. Large Super King size bed with a fold-out next to it for our son, plenty of room for luggage. Room was modern and clean, beds were comfy, A/C effective, and bathroom spacious and contemporary (shower only, no bath). Our flight was delayed such that our arrival was past the last check-in time, and the staff were very accommodating, providing us a PIN code and room number via Whatsapp for night-time access. There is a nice lobby meeting area on the ground floor of the hotel for guests, and the restaurant is also on the ground floor accessed via exiting the building. Breakfast was not included but a worthwhile extra and reasonably priced. Dinner at the restaurant was great, especially the sirloin steak and croquetas - albeit non-Spanish speakers should note the servers did no speak English, and the service was good but at a typically Spanish pace. All-in-all a very nice stay and would happily recommend and stay again.
