Bed & Breakfast Silak

Ottimo alloggio, come da descrizione. I titolari sono gentili e accoglienti. Le stanze sono impeccabili ed emanano quel certo non so che di famigliare, è tutto pulito anche dove non si guarda. L'arredamento è semplice ma esercitato con gusto e armonia. Il proprietario illustra la storia del luogo, sia la cittadina che l'edificio stesso, consiglia indicando sulla mappa i luoghi da visitare e i ristoranti ed è molto cordiale. Il servizio della prima colazione è adeguato e curato nei minimi dettagli e la titolare è sempre sorridente e amichevole. Confermo inoltre quanto già espresso in altre valutazioni: parcheggio interno, edificio storico ristrutturato, zona centrale.

Rientrando da Budapest ci siamo fermati qui 3 notti per una tappa in Slovenia. Appena arrivati, guardando l'esterno, mi ero un po' preoccupata ma appena abbiamo aperto il grande portone...siamo entrati in un'altra epoca. B&B molto accogliente, camere pulitissime, noi avevamo quella con il balconcino e soffitto a volte, perfetta! Colazione ottima ed è possibile farla sia nella sala interna caratterizzata da soffitto a volte sia nel cortile esterno che ho trovato molto rilassante con tanto verde! Parcheggio interno gratuito, comodissimo! I proprietari sono eccellenti, gentilissimi, pronti a spiegare e consigliare sempre il meglio. Scambiando due chiacchiere con loro percepisci tanta serenità e amore per la loro terra e il loro lavoro. Lo consiglio sicuramente!

Ptuj is a beautiful little town, ideal for walking through its mostly pedestrianised streets, and to really enjoy a stay here the 'Silak B&B' close to the river Drava is perfect. Vladimir, who is running the place, was expecting me already outside the accommodation, when I arrived. He speaks good English and he gave me plenty of information on the hotel, a former tannery, and also about Ptuj, suggesting on a map a sightseeing walk (which happened to be almost the same as the one in Lonely Planet's 'Slovenia'). Being shown different rooms and thus having a choice I went for one, which faces the river (and a parking lot just in front of the hotel). Vladimir helped me with the suitcases, since in all the historical accommodation are staircases, also up to the reception. The room with beams on the ceiling had all I needed, a wardrobe with plenty of hangers and shelves, a writing desk and the bathroom was fine too. Also it was quiet during my stay. A pleasant place to sit down is the courtyard with tables, chairs, flowerpots and a stand with brochures. Breakfast is served in an attractive cellar-like room with arches as of 7.30am. I loved the choice of available items, although only cold ones, but it had the probably biggest choice of fresh fruit I have ever seen at a hotel. In charge of the breakfast was Lydia, the wife of Vladimir. On the first morning she came up to me, speaking fluent German, since she had apparently heard that I were from Switzerland. All the main sights are in easy walking distance from the 'Silak', also the castle, only the railway and the bus station are about 1km away. The two best restaurants in town, which I both tried, are very close to the B&B: the 'Ribic', specialising in fish, and the 'Amadeus' on the way to the castle.

Wir haben uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Schon bei der Anmeldung erhielten wir einen Ortsplan mit ausführlicher Erklärung und die Geschichte des Hauses. Das Zimmer gemütlich und alles ist sehr sauber, die Betten bequem. Das Frühstück war liebevoll und reichhaltig. Wir bekamen viele Infos, was wir uns ansehen könnten, und bei einem zufälligen Treffen mit der Wirtin im Ort wurden wir wieder gefragt, wie es uns geht und es kamen weitere gute Tipps. Das Wirtepaar mitsamt seinem Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Silak kann ich mit bestem Gewissen weiter empfehlen. Die Lage ist zentral, man kommt zu Fuß gut auf die Burg und ins Zentrum.
