This hotel has a lot of charm, located in a well maintained historical building. It has a beautiful garden with outdoor seating as well as a big covered terrace. Apart from that, I do not understand how this hotel has gotten such a relatively high score. Customer service was as good as non existing, the staff seemed too busy to be bothered by their own guests and seemed annoyed when helping out with even the most basic issues. Furthermore, I had sent them two separate emails regarding practicalities prior to our arrival, and neither of them was responded despite being sent through the ‘right’ channels. The room was very small, the room as well as the bathroom was old fashioned (not in a charming way), and the noice from cars driving by kept waking us up although we were using earplugs. Breakfast was very basic, and like with everything else the staff were too busy to bother refilling what was empty.
