SureStay Hotel by Best Western Chowchilla Yosemite

Good hotel for short stays, but... 1. There are insects in the room. Not bed bugs or cockroaches, just insects from outsides but still. 2. Strong smell of "farm land". Not in rooms, only outside. I am ok with it, but somebody can disgust it. 3. Breakfast is poor. No protein - eggs or meat. Only waffles (hot), regular yogurt and cereal. No laundry (which is expected). 4. Noice from trucks entering highway nearby. Nevertheless, the room was clean (excluding insects mentioned above). Quite convenient location - grocery and few restaurants are very close.

Vriendelijke ontvangst. Zeer ruime kamer, voorzien van nieuwe badkamer. Alles ziet er zeer netjes en fris uit. Modern. Mooie kleuren op de wanden. Echt in Amerikaans netjes, als je het mij vraagt. Heel erg gewaardeerd. Op loopafstand wat winkels om eten te kopen, even met de auto voor Subway of Starbucks ( twee minuten, maar niet lopen ivm de weg). Heerlijk linnengoed, lekker fris en dik. Ontbijt echt meer dan prima. Yoghurt, ontbijtgranen, vers fruit, wafelmaker met stroop, toaster. Top! Alleen gaan we nu nog even op jacht naar de star … voor een bakkie sterke koffie. Ligt gunstig tov bezoek yosemite. Topper!

I enjoyed staying here for the one-night that I needed. It was quiet and the staff in the evening as well as in the morning were very friendly. The bed was very comfortable! In town were a few good places to get food from. I also enjoyed the Breakfast that was offered. Belgian waffles, breads, juice, coffee, cereals, fruit etc.

Room was very clean, had all the usual amenities including good size fridge and great shower. Breakfast was sufficient for our needs. Had pool but we didn't use it. Very short walking distance for food, some shops and a save mart. Comfy bed and pillows, good quiet nights sleep. Spent one night in this hotel as a rest stop on a trip north up the 99. Exceeded my expectations. Rooms are updated and modern. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Had a room facing opposite the freeway and did not hear any traffic. Friendly front desk staff. Good location with several restaurants walking distance in addition to a supermarket. Highly recommend the Orchard Bar and Grill next to the supermarket. Would definitely stay at this hotel again when in the area.
