科茨沃爾德水療飯店(Cotswold House Hotel and Spa - "A Bespoke Hotel")

We can’t thank Mandy and all the staff at the Cotswolds House for providing us with the most special wedding day. There is not one thing we would change about the day and the whole planning process. We thoroughly enjoyed our meetings with Mandy, who was so efficient, organised and knowledgeable. It was so great having someone to share their expertise with us and adding many special touches to our day, things we never even thought of! When it came to the big day all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Mandy and her team went above and beyond to ensure the day went as smooth as possible and the day couldn’t have gone any better. We couldn’t have wished for a better day and with your help it exceeded all of our expectations. The hotel room we had was two storey and very smart, stylish and comfortable. The private garden was tiny with garden furniture, no lawn, but pretty rose bushes. The sunlight caught small sections if lucky to sit in it. Also a hot tub but didn’t use it. We paid for room, use of the pool, treatment, dinner and breakfast. Plus glass of Prosecco brought to the room! The pool we had to ourselves and could swim in circles (too small for lengths). Steam room was too steamy to go in! The meal at the Fig restaurant was excellent including the service and the birthday plate of chocolates! The downside was the massage. She didn’t say her name, no name badge (you don’t get a choice who you get anyway). Pressure was way too firm. A massage is supposed to be relaxing but if you tense up regularly surely it’s a sign you’re not enjoying it! Her techniques were repetitive and at the end she took five minutes to wash her hands before saying she’d finished the session. She needs better spa etiquette. That’s a 50th birthday treat I’ll never get back.

We stayed 4 nights in this very charming and elegant hotel and we loved everything about it. We paid for half-board, which means our breakfasts and dinners were included. We were very glad we did, as every meal was excellent and the food was not only presented beautifully, but was delicious as well. Our room (#23) was large and spacious and the bathroom worked well also, with sufficient space for toiletries. The stand-alone shower was rather small, but really not a problem given how nice everything else was. The grounds and garden areas of the hotel were a lovely surprise. Much larger than we would have thought, with many separate areas to sit privately and enjoy a cup of tea or a glass of wine. We also had their Afternoon Tea service, which was wonderful! Johan served us several of our meals and he was a very attentive and interesting person that we enjoyed talking with. We would definitely recommend staying at the Cotswold House Hotel - you will feel very pampered if you do!

The good points first: Parking is free The room was spacious The bed was comfortable The annoyances: When we arrived we missed the turn to unload in front so we just parked in the lot in back. It's a long walk in from the parking lot and it's poorly signed with rocky areas that made pulling a suitcase difficult. The toilet never flushed well, it took 3 or 4 tries sometimes. The breakfast buffet is very skimpy, annoying since we didn't care for the cooked breakfast options. A 10% discretionary service charge is added to the bill, which seems absurd to me. I should have said no but I felt awkward doing so. Overall we had a very average stay and would probably stay elsewhere if we returned to the area.

This hotel is in a heart of the Cotswolds and is centrally located to all the fun this area has to offer. There is a beautiful garden we loved to spend sunny moments. Great room for three people.

We requested to cancel our booking they said No but tell *********** to move it so we did and *********** contacted the hotel and they said NO we explained that our son had got a life limiting illness and had been rushed into hospital now on antibiotics and awaiting an operation. What sort of hotel are you that would not consider this request. Disgraceful

We stayed here the day after our wedding for two nights and honestly we would never go back, in fact we didn’t even eat there the second night! The reception staff on arrival was really unhelpful, our room wasn’t ready which is fine as we were early However no info on hotel, no offering to store luggage, no info on car parking and where we needed to go. Not even a ‘grab a drink in our bar’ When we did get into our room it was very dated and dusty. Even the tv remote was dirty. The only good thing was the bath was huge and lovely to lie in! Breakfast was nice but service wasn’t great. I even got created by the host as ‘oh it’s you’ which I’m not too sure what was meant by it! The dinner in the evening was ok, starter was not great at all and the chicken liver parfait was grey in colour along with the chutney! Wouldn’t return’

This was a surprise gifted stay. What a lovely hotel made especially lovely by the very attentive, if over stretched staff. We stayed in one of the cottages called Griggs which was in the beautifully laid out gardens. The room was very generous in size and the bed was large and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was absolutely perfect. Large, a lovely large bath and shower with lots of power and hot water. Dinner was delicious as was the breakfast. It would have been lovely if the fires had been lit but it would have made more work, I expect, for the staff. We were blessed with sunny weather after a rainy march.
