Actually I'll rate 3.5 because it is better than average but will also not rate 4 as it was short on expectations on many counts. We stayed in Honeydewzz Exotica for couple of nights in Lania Standard room which is also mentioned as Lania Executive on some booking platforms. Think there is not much difference in Lania Standardas it felt/Executive and Deluxe. it's just that Deluxe is slightly bigger and is on the 1st floor vs standard on ground - you may get slightly better views from Deluxe. Location is right in between Mulyangiri peak and Hebbe falls.. 35-40km each side of the resort and takes 1+ hour to reach. So you could say it is far from both. Ideally you would like to stay near Mulyangiri because more attractions are on that side and you get to stay at elevation so better views as well but then properties are also much more expensive. So this resort is a decent option if you want to balance budget with traveling time. Pros of the property: 1. Well maintained. Rooms are spacious. Very green, situated amongst mountains, calm n peaceful. 2. Very courteous staff, quick service - Vinod and Rohit in the restaurant, the guy who took us on the nature and plantation walks and folks at the reception - basically everyone is always ready to help and accommodate your requests. 3. Decent and b'ful landscaping, decent number of places for photo op. 4. Lot of games in the Indoor area but kids area is okayish. We didn't see anyone using the rope activities during our stay, probably because it's not very apparent where those activities are and again not that many activities. 5. Camp fire is a nice touch. They got two areas for this so it is not very crowded with everyone comming to the same place. You can spend some quiet nice time here with your family or group playing games or listening to the music or just relax. 6. Buffet was nice. Decent spread. All of the items were tasty and well prepared. 4-5 options for vegetarians including fruits, 2-3 options for non veg including egg. All North Indian and South Indian options, no continental. Cons: 1. Decent sized, but not a very big property which you generally expect from a resort. The resort description says it is a 50 acres property but actually developed area which guests can access is definitely less. 2. The swimming pool is big and well maintained but essentially useless because the water was very very cold. I stayed in the water for half an hour still my body couldn't get adjusted to the temperature. My kid was literally shivering inside it and came out after 10 min and he likes swimming pool so much. So this was a big let down. The management should seriously consider covering it to a heated pool. 3. Kitchen needs big improvement. Though we liked the buffet, lot of improvement needed for a la carte options for lunch n dinner. Food is very spicy in general. Though staff accommodated our requests for replacement and customisation for less spicy food but it elevates the whole experience of dining
Our 3-day mini-vacation in Chikmagalur led us to explore various resorts online, and after much deliberation, we settled on The Blossom Resort. Despite being a bit of a drive (approximately 40-50 kms) from popular tourist spots like Baba Budangiri, Mullayanagiri, and Hebbe Falls, the resort's budget-friendly appeal and charming surroundings in a coffee plantation won us over. The resort offers ample parking space and spacious rooms, ensuring a comfortable stay. One highlight was the plantation visit activity, which provided a unique insight into the region's coffee culture. Although the distance from major attractions may be a concern for some, having a car makes it manageable. Overall, The Blossom Resort proved to be a delightful choice for our stay in Chikmagalur.
The property is good, lots of greenery, and coffee plantation. The facilities are nice and the folks at the restaurant really take care of you. Folks like gagan, wilfred, anil and abhisek are brilliant. The in-room dining in not that good, we never got water when we asked for it before heading to bed. We had to ask again in the morning. The people at spa are just not good enough for this sort of property. They said they were busy a particular day and we could just walk in next day. When we said we could take an appointment they say just walk in next day and when you walk in next day they say they are busy again and do not have time. That was being rude.
Luxury is not just in it's name. It's felt right after stepping in. Stayed for 3 nights in Std NAC room. From Check-in to Check-out, excellent experience. Front desk team, housekeeping, Restaurant - F&B, all are always ready to assist with a smile. Looks pretty ordinary from outside, but is very classy the moment you enter. Lobby area is spacious and done up with smart interiors. Booking shelf & newspapers are thoughtfully placed with comfy seating area. Overall property is very well maintained. Room was clean with comfortable 8” Spring mattress and crispy freshly laundered linen, wall mounted 32” LCD, AC, Intercom, E-Kettle with team coffee maker, full sized wardrobe and baggage racket, Sofa seats with coffee table, elegantly furnished, 24 hrs hot shower with premium toiletries etc. Actually deserves Excellent 5* rating but 1* less as Std NAC room had no view in spite of having a namesake window, hence felt claustrophobic at times and are located only on Ground flr. Would advise to stay in Deluxe rooms on 1st or 2nd flr. Complimentary breakfast at their Source Restaurant on 3rd floor was simply awesome. The buffet spread was quite elaborate with 3 types of fruits and a juice, Idli- Wada- Dosa- Omelette- Bread toast with Jam and Butter were offered daily with one new item like Poha, Buns, Puri Bhaji etc everyday. Taste was yummy. Mr. Vasanth, managing this service needs to be mentioned for making our B'fast sessions special. He was like a family member & took good care of the guests at the restaurant. Property located in heart of Chikmagalur city yet. Just 1 Km fm Ksrtc Bus Stand. Just 300 meters to MG Road, the busy market area. Town Canteen & Mayura Dlx Restaurants just at 8-12 min walking distance. Famous Pandurang Coffee Outlet at 1 Km away. Yashas Cabs offers Cabs for sightseeing etc @ Rs 2300/- per day trips. Overall a truly Luxury hotel @Chikmagalur at budget price. We will surely return here on our nxt trip.
Room is a bit cozy with no cupboard. I checked in early, so may be because of that, it was not clean enough, there were spider nets and dusts at multiple spots. No shower but geyser works. Basic ammenities were given like soap, drinking water, towel, blanket, dustbin, etc. The service is good, preetam at the reception is so polite and listens to you. Location is just awesome, local market, bus stand and some temples are within walkable distance.
訪訪客用戶This hotel boasts an exceptional location with stunning views and adequate parking. The road leading to the location can get foggy and there are no atms for a large radius. Cellular range also hard to receive, so offline maps will be helpful. Service is somewhat passable, and a reliable gas water heater is available, though heat consistency varies. However, the negatives include subpar food but functional, extremely poor acoustics where noise from neighboring rooms can be disruptive leading to sleep disturbances, shared balconies without window grills raise security concerns, weak wifi with slow speed. Overall much below-par experience for a supposed 3-star property (as listed, it's more of a one-star experience.
訪訪客I am listing the deficiencies in Treebo Sunrise, Chikamaglur. 1) Staff and ***ager are very rude. There is absolutely '0' % concept of Hospitality or Customer Service. I am pretty sure they have no clue what that is. 2) Rooms are dirty and the accessories such as Towels etc. are in a bad shape. 3) Amenities such as TV, AC, Shower etc. Are not working. 4) Breakfast is served as if they are giving it to beggars. Coffee and Tea is served only half a cup and we are told that ' Free you get this much only '. As I understand breakfast is paid for and written as ”Included” and it is not complimentary. Also the breakfast doesn't have bread Butter or Cereals or anything else . Only Idli, Dosa and chutney and that also in limited quantity. I wonder in which hotel is this known as Breakfast. Ridiculous. 5) Parking facilities are also not available. The limited parking is barely 5 to 6 cars for a hotel size of more than 20 rooms . So we had to park the car on the road as per hotel instructions. Since we made a complaint about the hotel, they made the Auto Rickshaw guys fight with us, saying we had parked in the Auto stand and blocked our cars with their Autos. After apologizing for more than 15 minutes, when we were leaving, we saw the hotel staff and Autowallahs having a good laugh. Talk about high handedness and Gundagiri. 6) The rooms were not equipped with any basic facilities. Even water bottles had to be requested to be kept in the rooms. Prepaid extra beds were kept in the room only around 1030 pm . Well past our kids bedtime, and we had requested this at the time of booking. The list is endless, and so are our grievances. By far, after visiting more than 20 countries and the whole of India , I can safely say that this was the WOSRT HOTEL I stayed in. And yeah, when they figured out that I was taking videos, they turned off the electricity to the rooms, and so I had to take videos with the phone flashlight.
