Gateway Chikmangloor was a 1 night stopover on my road trip...location was great! Property had a lovely old world charm, Pet friendly, It's the Taj so service was fabulous as usual! A lovely green space, with a very cozy ambience! Definitely would recommend it.

Good location and property. Friendly and responsive staff overall. However, the food is below average both at the in room dining as well as the restaurant. We ordered lunch upon arrival into the room and it too close to an hour for the food to come. After the long wait the food turned out to be cold and tasting bad. The buffer for dinner as well as for breakfast was not exciting at all and with repetitions. Have stayed in Taj properties all my life but for the first time had such an experience. We ended up eating outside instead for the 3 days that we stayed. Will think twice before booking into a Taj property going forward.

Awesome place. Will visit here again and spend a little more time. Scenic and mesmerizing place. Had been here 20 yesrs back (official) and had an opportunity to visit now with family . Many places yet to cover ..however that may happen next time.

Very memorable trip, made momentous by the ever green Taj Gateway staff. The room was very spacious with a private garden and large opening to view and immerse in the nature. Chirping birds added music to the ears and little cute rabits made us runaround. Hotel serves both traditional and global menu. Hotel team suggests you to visit near by ancient temples and scenic places. Overall, if you are here, your taken care from all aspects.

Stayed for 2 nights here on way to udupi. Warm and welcoming environment created by friendly staff - Chandrima, Raghavendra, Arun, Darshan, Manjula. Food esp. ghee roast and oota thali was awesome. Everything from checkin to checkout felt like 5 start experience in terms of service. Highly personalized and pet friendly. Loved the size of room with balcony and backyard. Mr. Basu personally took feedback and handled all our requests. Would definitely recommend and stay again whenever going through Chikmagalur.
