This historic and charming farmhouse is surrounded by nearly an acre of gardens. Located in the picturesque village of Lakeside, Michigan in the heart of Harbor Country. Less than a 90 minute drive from Chicago. A five minute walk to Lake Michigan's beautiful Pier Street Beach and renowned antique stores and markets. Fully and charmingly furnished. Photographed for Better Homes and Gardens. Three bedrooms, each with ample closets. Large bathroom with view of the gardens. Large eat-in kitchen with dishwasher. Dining Room. Living Room. Delightful Screened-in Front Porch. Central air and heat. Wireless broadband Internet and Cable TV. Wood floors throughout. Full basement with Whirlpool washer and dryer. Gorgeous separate summerhouse overlooking naturalistic prairie garden. This large screened-in cottage is fantastic for lazy summer days. Perfect for entertaining and serves as a fourth bedroom in the summer. 'We have returned to Lakeside Grove Cottage many times. It is like a homecoming to a more peaceful, charming time. Loved the house! It’s a charming cottage. Everything as described. Spent the week (3 girlfriends) and the house worked perfectly for us. Wonderful screen porch. Beds and linens were very comfortable. We are familiar with the area and the location is convenient to everything in the area. (There is an adjacent train track so you need to be ready for the train noise a couple of times a day). Cooked at home a lot and loved having the eat in Kitchen as well as dining room.

Long Weekend Getaway Really enjoyed the cottage. Very comfortable beds and a wonderful front porch for morning coffee and evening cocktails. The owner has a lot of amenities including bikes in the shed that my daughter and her friend loved being able to use and a fun inter tube we took down to the beach!

This is an unusual property. The kitchen is the first room you enter, followed by the dining room, then the living room. It's all straight back. The three bedrooms are all on one side. The whole house is one floor. The sq. footage would make it seem small, but the house is quite functional. TV works without any trouble, there is plenty of bedding and the garden area is stunning. Lots of tiny villages around for driving, shopping, and dining. Property manager was very easy to work with. It worked out very well for the four of us.

Perfect Annual girls trip to Michigan was made even more special by this adorable property. So cozy and comfortable. We loved every minute of it.

Relaxing and Lovely My partner and I enjoyed a lovely, restorative stay at the Lakeview cottage! The kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms are well appointed and the porch and garden/yard are perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee in the morning or s'mores at night by the fire pit. The summer cottage was a great touch and so cozy. Ample books to borrow and read during the stay too! The property is a short walk to Pier Beach through a charming neighborhood and is easy to get to all the shops and restaurants off the main road. We felt fully recharged and at peace during our stay and would absolutely book again!

Relaxing in Lakeside We had a great stay in this wonderful cottage that feels larger than the pictures show. The beds are very comfortable, the decor soothing, incredibly clean and well outfitted with beach chairs and bikes! Bill was great to communicate with and raised the bar compared to the others we have rented from. The back summer cottage reminded us from a scene from Dirty Dancing - it was a great stay and we will return. It was incredibly clean as well.
