We have always enjoyed staying at Taj Coromandel. All the staff have made us feel at home with their exceptional service. The executive rooms and luxury rooms are extremely comfortable.

The entire butler team (Bala, Saravanan and Napolean who made sure they went the extra mile at the lounge.
The entire Jiva Spa team who made sure we were well rested and relaxed.
The entire restaurant and kitchen at Southern Spice team who enticed us with their superb food.

it is a nice hotel however the rooms are very small. there is not much to complain about the hotel. I had a pleasent stay.
The hotel's exceptional staff and their unparalleled hospitality set the bar exceedingly high. Our check-in, handled by Kalpana and her proficient team, was seamless. Upon entering our comfortable rooms, we were greeted with fresh linens and state-of-the-art bedside controls for managing room lighting. The hotel's dining establishments offered a delightful fusion of cuisines, with the Anise restaurant earning our favor. Saraswathi, the host, went above and beyond, forging a lasting connection with our baby who eagerly ran to her upon entering the restaurant. She even arranged to bid us farewell on the day of our departure. Lakshmi, the talented baker, personally greeted us each morning and presented her delectable creations from the kitchen. During breakfast, waiters Palani, Subbu, and Kuppuswamy delivered exceptional service, while Dhanashekar shone during our late dinners. Jasmin at the front desk consistently welcomed us with a warm smile and even invited us to participate in a charming diya ceremony one memorable evening. Her kindness extended to our little one. Joseph at the front door was always there with a welcoming smile. Overall, this place will remain our preferred choice for our forthcoming visits.

This was my first time staying at Taj Coromandel. The welcome, check-in, and check-out processes were seamless. The highlight of my trip was dinner at Southern Spice. I have never experienced a more friendly and caring team of hosts anywhere. I was dining by myself, so they curated a thali for me with their most loved delicacies, and it was like tasting home :) I would stay here again if I am in Chennai in the future.

Used to be great property and get treated like royalty. Unfortunately, things have changed. The check in staff were tired. No offer of drinks. No perks or room upgrades. The room was clean. The beds were horrible. Sagging at one side due to excessive use. Breakfast was amazing and staff were really nice. Too many staff with very little effort to please the guest. I almost had to open the door myself every time while the security would stand and chat. There was no real pool staff and the area around was wet. Chennai now has a lot of other options with real five star service!

Room was older but stil functional, be careful should you go to the in-house restaurants, waiters will not give you guidance even when you explicitly ask for it and instead sell you food for several people notwithstanding one is alone at the table. Don’t ask staff to call you a taxi to the airport , they charge 10 times the price of an Uber and about 6 times of what i paid hiring a taxi from the airport to the Taj, they refused to call me a taxi who would just run his meter, so I hired an uber with my phone app, took 3 minutes to arrive and i had no issue whatsoever with the ride. Disappointing practice for a good hotel to overcharge their guests for exactly the same vehicle class, no added value but just 6 to 7 times more expensive. Generally staff was friendly and competent so I guess they are following management directives and I do not fault them for the bad service I received leaving the place. Also, bring your own city map, they don’t have any for its guests, that’s a first and I am an extensive traveler.

Excellent amenities, dining options, really helpful staff and concierge service who always go above and beyond. We traveled with our 13 month old daughter and had a great time right from check in through check out.

We enjoyed our stay at Taj Chennai. Staff were kind and courteous . Room was comfortable.
Food was good. May I make a suggestion in the food hall.
Too many staff. They were kind and courteous.
Too many food choices. Have a theme South Indian or North Indian . The above were mixed with Italian and Mediterranean . Too many food choices. You want your guest to leave with a satisfied healthy meal.
