Great pub with superb friendly staff. Views from a top notch garden are brilliant. Prices are good and added bonus is plenty of car parking. My only minus is menu lacks beef and/or steak meals which is surprising. I guess pub thinks not a necessary requirement but maybe pub management should perhaps consider? Regardless, overall, a great watering hole

I stayed at this pub with rooms for three nights and had the most fabulous stay. The location is stunning, with lots of lovely walks on your doorstep. The room was beautiful, spotless and well equipped with everything you would need. I was a solo traveller and I felt well cared for by the lovely staff team and enjoyed dinner in the restaurant each night which was highly recommended. I can’t wait to return!

Superb spacious room, with great en-suite. Wake up to the fabulous views over the countryside. Lovely food. An excellent place to stay.

Fabulous stay! Had a lovely stay!! Room was beautiful- spacious, clean and very tastefully decorated. Managed to get the room before having to leave for a wedding at 1pm (thank you very much for doing this for us!!), was a great location for a wedding at Mapperton House, and then using Craig’s taxis to taxi there and back. Breakfast the next day was reasonably priced & tasty, eaten in the lovely dining area. Also fabulous views over the countryside! Would definitely recommend this to anyone coming to the area/attending a wedding at Mapperton House!

Lovely find, excellent evening meal and breakfast, friendly, helpful staff. Room was great and large comfy bed.

December break We enjoyed the spacious room 6. The food was very good and fairly priced. Nice walks and lovely views.
