Well, where do I even start?! I have stayed in many many hotels and b&b’s both in the States and back home in England and I can honestly say this has been the very best experience and the best place I’ve ever stayed, period!!! The attention to detail, the comfort of the beds, the personal little touches, the homemade breakfasts including homemade muffins, jams etc., cookies to die for, little jars and bowls of sweets everywhere to help yourself to, the art and wood crafts made by the owners for you to buy if you’d like, the chats and conversations……I could go on and on and on!!! But truly, the best thing for me….Ann and Mark are just the most wonderful people and hosts you could ever wish for!! And now my hubby and I count them as friends. They not only will go out of the way to help you with anything you need but they are truly two of the nicest people I’ve ever been blessed to meet and I was truly sad to leave. We’ve even offered for them to come stay with us if they ever come to visit England!! They will go above and beyond with their thoughtfulness and care. Ann even can to give us a ride back ‘home’ when we got caught in a downpour after watching a music recital in the beautiful little town of Chiboygan, which is a true treasure and gem by the way. So I say get yourself to beautiful Cheboygan and don’t bother looking for anywhere else to stay other than Secrets in Main!! Even though I’d really love it to remain a secret so that it’s not fully booked when I wanna return!!! Truly though, go stay a while. You will enter as guests but leave as friend ❤️🥰❤️🥰

A perfect B&B! Historic home decorated with meticulous detail. Our hosts, Mark and Ann, were extremely friendly and made us feel right at home. We could only stay one night, but would love to have stayed three! Located on Main St, walking distance from everything downtown. The bonus is that Ann is an awesome cook!

Adding a recent review for Secrets on Main. Not sure why recent visitors haven’t left a review, since the guest book in our room was filled with glowing reviews. Perhaps to keep it a secret? Fun rooms, clean as a whistle, great breakfast, and the owners are top notch in friendliness and hospitality. Highly recommend for both fun and relaxation.

We were very happy with this B&B. The hosts (Terry and Laurie) were very nice and helpful. They gave us a good choice of nearby restaurants to choose from and things to see. Great parking is available in the back. We'll stay there again!

This bed and breakfast was a dream come true. Upon arrival we were given a brief tour of the place and Laurie announced that she had the taste for peanut butter cookies. We agreed that this was an excellent idea. While cookies baked we enjoyed sitting outside first on our bedrooms balcony (The double bubble gum room) and then out on the front porch. Cookies were served fresh from the oven! Being an avid coffee drinker I was delighted when Terry freshly ground a local coffee (it was so good I bought a bag of beans) so enjoyed that first thing. The breakfast, served on real china was superb. Laurie had a taste for blueberry pancakes (I love her logic) with local maple syrup, lightly peppered candied bacon and pepper jack cheesy scrambled eggs. The serving was more than enough and there must have been 3 pounds of thick cut bacon on a platter for all of us. Enjoying this meal together we got to share our experiences and joys of vacationing and how we happened upon coming to stay in Cheyboygan. Just as a sign posted in the dining room stated... "Enter as guests, but leave as friends." It was such a refreshing and enjoyable time, and seemed as if we had known each other for years. Our room was amazing. From the stars shining on our ceiling to our bed fitted into an actual 1961 GMC pickup truck, complete with tail light and license plate, headboard made from the cab and lit with various tools tucked away inside. It was fun, innovative and a comfortable bed to boot! Absolutely one of the best, if not the best, bed and breakfast's we've stayed at. We will be going back, for certain!

The entire stay was incredible :) Terry and Laurie were wonderful host and insanely talented. This B& B was so creatively decorated, it really was an experience. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evening and a fantastic breakfast of pancakes and sausage in the morning. There were snacks and beverages available, also a little nook to paint a canvas if you were feeling artistic! We enjoyed Terrys art and even purchase a couple of pieces for ourselves. You won’t be disappointed in this little Secret!
