夏律第鎮市中心希爾頓惠庭飯店(Home2 Suites by Hilton Charlottesville Downtown)

Came to the room after a night out around 1am, key didn't work so they let us in, door lock kept beeping, they said they couldn't fix it, told us to switch rooms (which was on another floor), so we had to pack up and move, get to the room and there was only one bed, we booked/paid/and had 2 beds. Had to go back down and get another room, which they didnt want to do. After "finding" a room with 2 beds (2 doors down), they asked me to go back up and check if its ok... I said as long as it had 2 beds. They gave me a bottle of water for my troubles.

Property was in a great location, room was clean , spacious and updated. Breakfast was good, staff were great. My only complaint was the water, or lack of hot water. We went to a football game in the cold , really wanted to take hot showers when we came back but that didn’t happen. The next morning we had the same issue, I would say it was warm at best. We still had a great time and enjoyed.

Easy walking distance to all the nearby shops, restaurants and breweries. The free breakfast was amazing, they served homemade waffles, a variety of breakfast sandwiches and breakfast bowls and plenty more. The staff was also very nice and helpful. Rooms were clean and had plenty of space. Great experience

The breakfast was probably 2 stars out of 5 - a sustenance breakfast. And in these days of energy efficiency, it’s getting hard to find a newer property whose windows can be opened for fresh air to aereate the Polyphenl smells in the stain-resistant products these places are usually built of - this was probably the only drawback to the property.

On arrival I was told I have checked in. Which obviously was not the case. My room was given to another guest with same last name. The front desk personnel stated my husband Andrew Miller checked us in. My husband is not Andrew my husband was standing next to me at the checkin desk. The worker said they called me to confirm. I did not receive a call. They asked my phone number which was not what they called. They tried to argue that I was in the wrong. They obviously did not follow proper checkin steps. No ID was checked, no cc was placed on file. My information and credit card was on that reservation and I was going to be charged but I shouldn’t be because I used my ********** points. Very upset that a HILTON property let this happen. I’m upset also because there was no I’m sorry. Not good customer service.

Unfortunately, the hotel was not clean or well maintained inside or outside. The reception area had dusty shelves around the coffee area and dining area. Floors in hallways had bleach stains. Grass was overgrown in different parts outside the property. The breakfast options were limited and shelves above food serving areas were dusty.
