So far the app has worked swimmingly and I plan on using it again, the hotel staff has been really nice and I've had no problems so far.

Gutes Hotel

Was traveling to watch Grapefruit League Spring Training in Port Charlotte and Fort Myers. The King Suite had a separate seating area with a comfortable sofa couch and chair. There was a large screen television that could be moved so that it could be seen from either the plush bed or couch. There was a closet with iron and plenty of drawer space for all my clothes. The bathroom had a nice shower with plenty of hot water. The only thing lacking was a decent Refrigerator. The Refrigerator took forever to cool the contents. I stayed 4 nights and was happy with the breakfast until day 4 arrived. I had Waffles. I had eggs & sausage. I had toasted bagels and wrapped pastries. When day 4 came I did not want the biscuits and gravy. I guess I was spoiled. I should have gone with the waffles. The eggs & sausage did not sit well in my stomach. When I have the opportunity to select a Hotel in Port Charlotte again I will definitely consider the Sleep Inn and Suites Port Charlotte - Punta Gorda.

The room needs a deep cleaning. The bathroom vanity slab was broken with a poor repair job. Months/years of caked up dirt in bathroom floors, corners, tub area. Carpets smelled of urine

We tried to cancel the booking as soon as we arrived. The entire 3rd floor smelled like smoke, the shower floor was filthy, the “heated” pool was freezing and needed cleaning. Service was nonexistent. Overall the hotel is old and run down. Not worth the money.
