Awful! Worst 4 star hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff was unfriendly. The management was the worst. The rooms were like a motel 6 and on top of that it’s *******! No microwave, no room service, no refrigerator! I honestly have nothing nice to say about the management.

The Mills house was so charming. It felt grand at every turn. Having access to the 2nd floor balcony outside of our room was a pleasant surprise. Beds and linens were super comfortable. Will definitely come back again.

As much as we enjoyed our stay while in Charleston, the hotel was clean, well located, good food, and overall a nice relaxing stay. Unfortunately I forgot my jewelry inside the safe box, it’s has been weeks trying to get it back, calling and trying to contact the manager, I even sent pictures of the jewelry I left behind, but I still haven’t been able to get someone to properly respond to me, and give it back. DISAPPOINTING!! Not sure where the real hospitality is.

A lovely property centrally located in the historic district. Unfortunately there was no doorman to assist me with my luggage and the front desk didn’t even ask if I needed help. Rooms are small for the price and I could have used a shower cap which wasn’t provided.

The staff was very welcoming and helped with any questions we had. We loved the outdoor area with the fireplace, adjoining Iron Rose Bar and the acoustic singers. The bartenders were super friendly, room was cleaned and stocked everyday. The only downfall is I wish the valet parking was less expensive for the hotel guests.

There was a wonderful wedding happening while we were in residence. While they did shut the party down at an acceptable hour, our room was very noisy until late in the evening making rest difficult for my elderly father. Next time, I will make a point to ask about noise level. Also, mapping takes you to the north side of the building instead of the "valet" parking side so there was some additional navigation necessary to "arrive."
